A hidden gem in the bowels of St. James's. Subterranean vaults, now a wine bar and restaurant for serious oenophiles. A bit club-like, and all the better for it. Not the sort of place for small children under 35.

Eight friends and I dined here last Friday night, in the smaller of the two exquisite private dining rooms. Whenever I dine here I enjoy the quiet and unassuming, but friendly, efficient and assured service and hospitality from the internatiinal team. The lower ground floor bar is a characterful and historic oasis in central London, the smaller dining room is charming and cocooning, the raised ground floor dining room is like being transported back to the formal dining room in a Georgian residence.

This is a bar and restaurant, and perhaps a bit of an undiscovered gem. It is tucked away in Crown Passage, very close to St James St, Pall Mall, and King St. Space for dining in the public area, in more private alcoves, and also private rooms. Prices of drinks and food are very reasonable for Central London. Service very good too. I've always enjoyed myself there, and have always booked in advance, so I can't say what availability is like without a booking. Have been there many times, and will happily go again. The "Old Wallop" house-brewed beer is very good too.

Reliable, limited menu, not too extortionate, formerly known as the Crown Passage Vaults. Intriguing warren of underground cellars, including a semisecret room behind the panelling for amorous clients

Visited Davy’s with my colleague! They have a wide range of wine, from lightest to the boldest. Wanted to go for red, as it is Christmas season 🤌🏻 I know that may sound stupid ha! But the waiter, suggested Fiano, it was so good. It is definitely a good place to catch up with friends and colleagues.

Cosy & relaxing atmosphere. Excellent selection of wines & ports... And their own Davy's Old Wallop is served in tankards. The new menu looks great with fantastic vegan options. Keep up the great work team St Davy's!

A great find and lovely place with excellent service, very good drinks and tasty, well cooked food. Easier to recommend you just visit it rather than explain here, in detail

We had a team lunch here in April. The restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday with only the 6 of us and 2 other tables of two. We all had steak and didn't have to wait very long for it. However, the medium rare was a bit too cooked to my liking and one of our colleagues was actually medium instead. That said, if you are planning a 90-minute team lunch that does not break the bank in Mayfair, this is a suitable place.
