Davy's At St. James - London - Photo album

Eight friends and I dined here last Friday night, in the smaller of the two exquisite private dining rooms. Whenever I dine here I enjoy the quiet and unassuming, but friendly, efficient and assured service and hospitality from the internatiinal team. The lower ground floor bar is a characterful and
Visited Davy’s with my colleague! They have a wide range of wine, from lightest to the boldest. Wanted to go for red, as it is Christmas season 🤌🏻 I know that may sound stupid ha! But the waiter, suggested Fiano, it was so good. It is definitely a good place to catch up with friends and colleague
Very nice warm & welcoming atmosphere. Historic part of London. No problem booking a table for 5 at 6.30pm on a Wednesday however the restaurant was well used and a steady trade of diners throughout the night. Food was excellent and reasonable (starters and main course for 5 with two bottles of wine
A great find and lovely place with excellent service, very good drinks and tasty, well cooked food. Easier to recommend you just visit it rather than explain here, in detail
5* as a great pub compared to some of the options in the area. Great place in the winter, warm , cozy, tucked away from the elements. Good beer selection as well as wines. Have only sampled the bar food menu but as can be seen it’s up to scratch .
A hidden gem in the bowels of St. James's. Subterranean vaults, now a wine bar and restaurant for serious oenophiles. A bit club-like, and all the better for it. Not the sort of place for small children under 35.
Cosy & relaxing atmosphere. Excellent selection of wines & ports... And their own Davy's Old Wallop is served in tankards. The new menu looks great with fantastic vegan options. Keep up the great work team St Davy's!
This is a bar and restaurant, and perhaps a bit of an undiscovered gem. It is tucked away in Crown Passage, very close to St James St, Pall Mall, and King St. Space for dining in the public area, in more private alcoves, and also private rooms. Prices of drinks and food are very reasonable for Centr
A private lunch with two friends. Outstanding service, fine wines and tasty food. Very happy to recommend. Thank you
Food gorgeous - could do with slightly bigger portions! Wine is beautiful and service friendly.
We had a team lunch here in April. The restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday with only the 6 of us and 2 other tables of two. We all had steak and didn't have to wait very long for it. However, the medium rare was a bit too cooked to my liking and one of our colleagues was actually medium instead
I love this place so much, so welcome respite for beers and wine after a day at work. It’s decent pub food, and descending into the basement actually adds to the ambience: it feels like you are going back in time a little bit. The staff are knowledgable and make great recommendations, but seating is
Lovely place - good for food and drinks, whether that’s a family dinner or date night! The bar staff are really helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Good location too, between central places like the Mall and Buckingham Palace, and Leicester Square and Oxford Street. Wholly recommend!
Fabulous lunch. The pepper sirloin was superb. I swapped fries for green beans & onion. My friend's fries fab. Service excellent, old school proper polite professional. Not sure how lovely chap managed maitre d' & server all alone in a busy lunchtime service. House wine excellent, French, amazing va
Reliable, limited menu, not too extortionate, formerly known as the Crown Passage Vaults. Intriguing warren of underground cellars, including a semisecret room behind the panelling for amorous clients
Wow the food was huge and beautiful and tasty! The atmosphere was pretty cool. Our waiter was top notch. Keep in mind if you order fish and chips you get a ginormous piece of haddock so be prepared to eat.
Love this place. Staff so friendly, they make the effort to get to know you if you are a regular. Good food, honey mustard sausages and skinny fries are excellent. Their proper food is all good too! Good range of options, nice wines, house also good and reasonably priced. I really like the atmospher
Tucked away in "sandwich alley" this is perfect hide away from busy Piccadilly. Fantastic selection of wine and the food is beautiful. Fresh and tasty! They have enough choice for everyone and the must is their gigantic olives! Staff is really lovely and helpful. I have been going for last 6 years
