Obica Mozzarella Bar - South Kensington

FODMAP friendly restaurant! The menu is fully garlic and onion free which was great to find. Although the items with gluten weren’t specifically labelled the staff were able to tell us which were suitable and when possible left the bread items on the side so both me and the rest of the table could enjoy it. We had a stew that was absolutely delicious and tried several of the cheeses. It was so enjoyable to go to a restaurant where we could order several plates for the table and I could eat 80% of what we’d ordered. I don’t think most of the food in itself was outstanding, but for anyone on the FODMAP diet (although obviously there’s quite a lot of lactose if you want to go for the main attraction, if you ate meat I still think you’d be fine). The staff were attentive, friendly and very careful to make it clear what I could/couldn’t eat. A large meal of sharing plates for 5, with two beers, two soft drinks, 5 small deserts and a coffee came to about £150 so I don’t think that’s too bad at all. I would love to see some gluten free bread on offer though! Wheelchair access: one small step in to the restaurant which was perfectly manageable in a high chair, tables are good for wheeling under but the toilet is upstairs.
