We found out about The White Bear thanks to the recommendation of our AirBnB hosts, we were looking for a classic London pub full of hot food and cold beer, both expectations were more than met.

Good Young's pub on Kennington Park Road about 5 minutes walk from Kennington Underground Station. Three cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I last visited. Lots of outdoor seating at the front and in the patio garden to the rear. Small theatre upstairs.

We were as part of a large birthday group which is a challenge for both the kitchen and waiting staff but they were amazing.

This is a great pub that has just reopened following some refurbishment. Couldn't see much change tbh although the front had obviously been painted.

Phenomenal roasts and amazing setting. Sides we’re almost as delicious as the hot 🥵 bartender Augustus who’s charisma will bring us back for a second visit.

The White bear is our new local as we are new to the area and just moved in not long ago. The first time we came in we were welcomed by a lovely guy called Reece who said welcome to the neighborhood. This is one of the oldest pubs is South London and dates back to 1780. The pub was taken over by @youngspu
I came to The White Bear for the first time with my friend and the guys at the bar were incredibly kind and helpful in choosing our drinks and some nibbles. Big smiles which makes it all super pleasurable ! Oh and the cheese platters were the best I’ve had! Definitely gonna come back!
