Steak. It is so easy to get wrong, but when you want a quality steak, cooked to perfection, you can’t go far wrong with Hanger & Cellar. My friend and I went there for dinner while in Fulham, and were taken aback by the interior, that was the epitome of cool everywhere you looked. We could see why it has a great reputation.
We decided that the best way to sample a place we hadn’t been before was to order and share every dish. To start with, we went for Smoked beef tartare with kimchi and duck egg yolk, chilli fried baby squid will dill aioli along with ox cheeks with confit garlic and bone marrow crumb. The combination was just great and set us up nicely for the main course.
Of course, when in Hanger & Cellar, it would be a crime to miss out on the steaks, so we plumped for 300g of bone in rare breed sirloin and 300g of USDA hanger steak. They were matured, tender and tasted superb. I want all my steaks to taste like this! On the side, we had chips, herbs salt, aioli and then poutine with goats curd and jalapenos to make a real treat of it. The food was cooked with real skill, and the two steaks were some of the best we’ve ever eaten.
Amazingly, we made room for dessert and both eyed up the affogato made of vanilla ice cream, espresso and almonds on the menu. Good choice. Along with the smooth service, it ended the night on a real high note. Can’t wait to go back.
We were at the Monday night soft launch for the new menu and it was an absolute delight. Great variety of steaks, different cuts and flavours. Highly recommend the Smoked Hanger Tartar and the Ox Cheek. Seriously delicious.

We both and the Steak 'n' Egg, steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty! The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
We came here on recommendation from a friend and it didn't disappoint. The venue has be done out tastefully and the atmosphere was great. While the menu was small it ticked all the right boxes- most importantly for taste and value for money. the hanger steak was succulent and full of flavour and the cocktails were a nice addition to a fun evening with friends - definitely looking forward to going back for an evening in the basement bar. All I can say to the team @hangerSw6 is great job, we'll be back for more!
I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. The steak was cooked to perfection, the staff were really helpful - and it was very reasonable for the standard of food!
The speakeasy bar downstairs was great for some drinks after the meal - I would definitely recommend this place!
SOooooooooooo good! I went with work , large group of us and I got to taste a variety of different cuts of meat, as they gave us some sort taster menu & it was next level tasty ! Cocktails too were unreal. My mate went to the brunch menu and said the same. Well Worth a visit , it is a lot better then the other places in the area that I've tried.
Tasty, amazing Value plus an awesome bar down stairs. Steak was incredible, service polite, friendly and quick. Atmosphere buzzy and friendly. Then the cocktail bar was busy and the live music really fantastic. Went for brunch a few weeks later.. super value..steak and egg and hashbrowns plus a few bloody marys! Am sure the reputation of this place will go from strength to strength.
Probably the best steak I've had in London for a very reasonable price. Also don't miss the bar downstairs for a post meal drink. Very friendly barman who makes great cocktails and sometimes there is live music .
Went here before a Chelsea match on a recommendation. I had steak and chips and my girlfriend had the steak and eggs brunch. Both were excellent and the hash browns with the breakfast were brilliant. Thoroughly recommended and make sure you try the Mac and cheese side, better than the Mac and cheese I had in Harlem in NY!
Hanger is definitely the best restaurant in the area, I loved the "Hanger" steak especially the the way its cooked over a charcoal grill. The cocktail bar down stairs is also a great place to meet up for some pre dinner drinks or even some after. I brought a few colleagues out for a work night and they all really enjoyed the food and the experience.
Sublime sirloin streak served with a tapas twist which made for altogether more gregarious and congenial dining experience, new twist on an old favourite. Food complemented by great gin with proper authentic tonic, relaxed atmosphere to complete a superb dining experience. Go!
Great little cocktail bar underneath, very sneaky! Charlie (bartender/ magician) was amazing. Just asked us what sort of drinks we liked and then created a masterpiece cocktail. Don't understand why more people don't know about this place! FANTASTIC
Really Lovely little hub in Fulham. Fantastic flavour from the steak and very good value. We went on a Tuesday night as a group of 4 in half term and Fulham being Fulham, everyone was away. It was quiet but it was lovely, the service was brilliant and the owner was very friendly and chatty. We had a lovely time and can't wait to pop back for Brunch Sundays in the basement bar! Would highly recommend.
Came in for the lunch special. Had a great cheesesteak, very good ingredients, generous with the sides- loved it. Decor is great and the service top notch. Will definitely be returning!
Nice casual place. Friendly service and tasty food. Enjoyed the charred leeks with stilton a lot. Steak is good as well and the lunch steak & fries deal is great value.

Been there twice over the last couple of weeks, the steak was truly exceptional and the staff were also excellent. If you are looking for somewhere to get a bite to eat before the football this is the perfect spot.
