Rare Steakhouse

We were recommended this restaurant through friends and we are so glad they did. The restaurant is a little gem. We tried the cocktail menu and I can recommend the Cosmo delicious!! We all had steak and it was amazing melt in the mouth I always find it had ordering steak as most places never cook it how I like which is medium but this was done to perfection. Our waiter recommend some lovely side dishes and sauces as well as a lobster tail which I had never tried before but will definitely try again. We had a fantastic night and even met the owners it’s a family run business and they were lovely and joined us for a drink. Rare is exactly what it says a RARE find!! We cannot wait to return for my birthday next month

We had a lovely dinner here tonight. I don’t normally leave reviews but the food, wine and service was so great I had to! We were looking for somewhere to spend time whilst our son was at a concert at the O2. Read the reviews so gave it a try and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for somewhere that does fantastic steaks, great wine and courteous and caring service then go to Rare. We will be going back.

It was a pleasure to discover this gem! We went there on Friday night and were warmly welcomed by a member of staff. I had a medium rare venison loin steak and the second person had pork ribs. The steak was cooked to perfection and you got to chose from any side dish that they have on the menu and any sauce which is an advantage over other restaurants as steaks usually come with given sides and sauces. The meat was "falling" off the ribs (that's how it should be). My companion didn't even need to use a knife for his dish! Overall, great experience, the staff was professional and friendly and the food was cooked to perfection. I wouldn't say that this is a costly restaurant but for your reference, it will cost roughly £30 - £40 per person for a dinner. You can find all prices on their main website. I just wish that the Rare Stakehouse would be more busy and have more clients as it is definitely worth going there. For advise: I suggest to have a starter to share between two people as the portions are quite big and you don't want to miss out on your main course.

My husband and I and 6 friends visited Rare yesterday evening. The food was wonderful and staff likewise. I myself had the baked Camembert to start. There was so much there I could have had it for a main course! Next came the rump steak cooked to perfection and probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. No room for puds! Wine was excellent too. We were all happy with our choices. Highly recommended and we will be going back. Rare, thank you for a great evening.
