Yildiz Restaurant

Best Turkish meal we have had in a long time! Yildiz was recommended to me by a colleague. I went with my partner on the spur of the moment a few evenings ago. It's a cosy place, very welcoming and with good service. We had adana and lamb shish - perfectly cook and deliciously seasoned. It was accompanied with a fantastic salad (which we had seconds of!) and, of course, fresh Turkish bread. It's priced in line with your average kebab meal - I'm not sure why I'd go anywhere else now.

I don't know what they do to their chicken shish here. I've contemplated over plates if it's MSG, MDMA, the chicken sourcing or chicken sorcery, but it's magical. The best grilled plucked poultry I've had in Europe. Their frivolous use of pomegranate molasses, balanced with equal amounts of lemon juice and salt, creates another drug like house salad. The buttered rice binds the chicken moisture and salad dressing together perfectly. Never misses the spot.

Delicious food, great service, super atmosphere! The 5 of us were here Saturday 12/8 after the Arsenal game. We ordered the cold mixed meze to share (was plenty) and a variety of grilled mains - chicken, lamb, etc. The place was buzzing but the service was still friendly and quick. Food was perfectly cooked. This was our 3rd visit and it won't be our last. Almost hate to share...try and enjoy!

Excellent food at Yildiz and highly recommend! We enjoyed the lamb kofta, the Yildiz special salad, and the calamari and we were not expecting the amount of beautifully presented food including such colourful, stunning salads. The koftas/kebabs come with a bowl of delicious fresh pittas, a superb side salad with marinated onions and pickled red cabbage, and some rice. The calamari was juicy and fresh, and the Yildiz salad was enormous with really juicy delicious cubes of feta. It exceeded all expectations and was thoroughly delicious (and so filling). The menu is extensive, and caters really well to vegetarians & vegans, and all the allergens are flagged on the menu (such as molluscs or gluten). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Family owned business, decor is simple and quaint designed.The customer Service was definitely 10/10 They were quick to take our orders and were very accommodating to all our needs. I ordered the chefs special lamb ribs, I opted for the chips instead of rice, this was recommended by my freind. one taste of it I was amazed how delicious it was, the flavour of it up until now is still on my mind I can never forget. Now am thier regular customer!
