Taken for lunch on Valentines Day. I have been lucky to eat in quite a few nice restaurants but this is top of my list. Staff, food, setting and ambience all top notch. Highly recommend.
Everything was exceptional, we took the Tasting Menu with wine pairing, a perfect balance between the wine and food, service was always on time and we felt very relaxed from the very beginning, attention to details was definitely another point to highlight. A truly fine dining experience.
Fantastic experience dining here. Staff are genuinely nice and friendly. No sense of "snobbery" eating here or anything. Food very fresh and tasty. Nicely presented. Very good wine list available here. 2 Michelin Stars and priced reasonably
Cannot describe how amazing our starter was, out of our eight course menu. I had a tough time deciding and couldn’t tell which one I liked more. We went there for Valentine’s Day. Really liked the atmosphere, quiet and perfect for that special day. They had separate vegetarian menus as well. Once the third course arrived which was mainly black egg, and we informed the staff we didn’t eat eggs. They changed our dish immediately with another one from the menu. One of the waiters would specifically just take care of our drinks. They gave explanation about every dish served. Food out of everything was of course amazing. Had a great time overall. Gave us champagne and chocolates as parting gift.
It’s a while since I ate at The Greenhouse so I was looking forward to seeing what the new chef Alex Dilling had to offer. Wow the group of four of us were not disappointed. We had the tasting menu which included everything from caviar to truffles. The prettiest dish has to be the flower carved carrots on a delicate fish. The duck is roasted on the bone before being served. Elvis selected some fantastic wines. They should definitely retain their 2 stars with this level of food and service.
Used to be my favourite French restaurant in London. Amazing presentation and creativity. Excellent service and brilliant wine list. But after awarded two start Michelin restaurant, the quality was not as good as before, but still is one of the best you can find in London.
Went in for the Mother's Day Special Lunch, and was overall quite impressed. I could tell they were trying very hard to pull off a luxurious feel serving oscietra caviar, black truffles, and foie gras all in one meal, and they were all great, but at the same time I felt as if they might be lacking a bit of creativity by playing it too safe. The presentation and handling of all ingredients were text book perfect, but it was expected considering the quality of ingredients they're using. Would've appreciated a little kick of unexpected pleasant surprises, but combined with the professional service of staff and exceptional pairing suggestions from the somelier, it was overall a very pleasant dining experience. Also appreciated the cute complimentary birthday dessert for Dad and the take home chocolate.
It was my first time here but other family members have been several times, and have all said their previous visits were much more impressive, so maybe I'll have to check it out again next time.
Unfortunately they are now closed and we won’t get to enjoy their tasting menu any more. This was one of the best restaurants in Mayfair. Hoping to see a new owner soon and looking forward to what they will achieve in this wonderful place.
Love the little garden at the entrance.
We booked for lunch. Dinning room is modern and light... I would like some background music, but thats only my view. Food was absolutely amazing and well presented.
The service was smooth and welcoming.
Would visit again!
Top class food, especially the savoury dishes!! Would highly recommend the clam chowder, duck foie gras, landes chicken, and Dover sole.
Unfortunately the service seemed to have slipped since my last visit (this was my third). Our waiter wasn’t smiley or talkative :( Also a la carte menu wasn’t offered on arrival and we were only offered the tasting menus, which I found very strange. We paid £35 extra to have the sole and turbot as starters. We were told that the sole would be in main course size (and hence the high supplement) but it was starter size when it arrived (it was as small as the clam chowder).. maybe I should have asked about that when the dishes arrived...
The sommelier was knowledgable and funny tho:)
I ordered the Dorset crab (mint jelly, cauliflower foam, apple cubes), venison (wild berries, asparagus) and the cucumber. The flavors all blend together to make a savory yet refreshing dish. The “extras”: wasabi marshmallow (sweet but slightly pungent), thyme and other herbs on this puff pastry with duck infused oil (fragrant, savory), and a coconut dusted tart. Petit fours: a “lollipop” (berry exterior with crunchy almond) and chocolates.
The seaweed butter was amazing—it was very much like seawater and seaweed (if you have tried it before). Goes very well with the bread and rich butter.
Service was impeccable.
Food looked amazing but tasted pretty underwhelming for a 2 Michelin star restaurant.
The seaweed butter was, on the other hand, AMAZING.
The service was commendable during our time, with a 2 year old in tow, they managed the little ones spillage and treated her like a little princess which helped calm her down.
