Awesome location, very good food (with many vegan options) and accessible price!
The service wasn’t the best one thought!

I have happily returned here for a second visit. As before the wait staff are prompt, efficient and welcoming. Selecting from the set menu (there is also a full a la carte) I opted for the 2 course dinner option. At £14.99 it is great value. To start I enjoyed the antipasti plate with a selection of salami, vegetables and mozzarella. My only quibble was the tiny piece of buffalo mozzarella. This does not reflect the usual Italian generosity when it comes to food. For main I chose the Parpadelle with chicken and mushroom. The pasta was perfect and the cream sauce flavourful and not too creamy. Just right. On the side I also ordered Broccolini (pictured). This was tasty but perhaps a little too garlicky for my liking. So if you are wandering along Oxford St after a long day shopping it is worth finding the secret gem that is Christopher's Place. It's entrance is a very narrow laneway next to H&M near the Bond St tube station. Here you will find Carluccio's and several other eateries and small retailers. Oh, and also a great spot to catch your breath when you need respite from the crowds of Oxford St.

Following a very rare day of shopping in the big smoke that is Oxford street. Me and my homie Valentina decided to grab a light lunch. Shopping is hungry work, it is even made worse in the centre of town as everything is soooo busy and people move soooo slowly. There is literally no speeding up the process even if you know exactly what it is that you want because you have browsers who walk like snails looking at things they will never buy, tourists mesmerized by large stores which mostly, they have in their own cities and teenagers with no cash who have no business taking up space in the stores and their changing rooms.

I was glad to take a breather. Being at the Bond Street end, you are limited on what you can eat that is decent. Up the Tottenham Court Road end there is the delicious soho with loads of great options. For Bond Street, you have St Christophers Place and James Street. Both have a varied selection of food, but my previous experience has not always been good because it is built for passing trade, so they don’t have to be anything special.

For the second time during my writing experience, we decided upon a chain venue. Yes, we went to Carluccios. And in the grand old tradition of how I dine, (see Amici Miei here), I had my Italian with me.

The greeter/seater was a cheerful chap, apparently he was new and super happy to be there standing in the sun. He was a cutey too. We tried to steal an outside table, but we were second in line so had to get over it. We were quickly sat inside, which was not too bad. We know when the sun is out, many a terrace seat is snapped up and rightly so.

I had the Caprese side salad which had bufallo mozzarella, vine ripened tomatoes, extra virgin oil and black olives. I also had the homemade smooth chicken pate with ciabatta bread and onion relish – so tasty, wow. Valentina went for the bruschetta with fresh ripe tomatoes, roasted papers, basil and oregano on garlicky chargrilled ciabatta. She also went for the Insalata di Mozzarella with fresh buffalo mozzarealla, red and yellow cherry tomatores with capers, rocker, fresh herbs and extra virgin oil. She mixed it all together on one plate which worked very well. All the ingredients were fresh. To be fair they were not the kind of dishes you could get wrong as they were quite simple ingredients.

I wish all Carluccio's were like this one - Clearly this is the chains flagship in the UK. Great location, and the food is of a higher standard than the Resteraunts I have been too. The service is also excellent. It was very busy when we arrived one wet sat early evening and we took shelter from the rain to have a soup and warm ourselves. We both enjoyed the soups we had which were full of flavour and filling. The focaccia bread was exceptionally nice. Only critiques - the waitress had forgotten our bread and the wine selection was a bit weak. Other than that the experience was a pleasent one.

Does what it says on the tin. You know the form here – basic Italian food and a little deli attached. I know somebody who works for this company and they are passionate about it. I also know that they struggle to maintain quality and consistency throughout their multitudinous branches.
I've had really excellent fritto misto at a number of Carluccio's now so they seem to have got that right – I'd really recommend it. They also do a very reasonable set lunch which is worth looking at. It's a formula, but it mostly works. The one in St Christopher's Place is usually mobbed. There are others which are more civilised

Ladies Who Lunch. This is my favorite Oxford Street Shopping lunch spot. A glass of wine, a bit of tomato, basil and mozzarella salad and I'm good to go again!

Carluccio's is meant to be one of the nicest Italian restaurants around, and I myself have heard so many good things about it! However, to my disappointment, the food and ambience wasn't the best. First it took us around 35minutes to find a table for just 2 people, once we did the staff took way too long serving us.

I decided to be a bit creative by ordering the Linguini al fruiti di marre, which is essentially pasta with sea food, herbs and chili. The pasta was beautifully prepared and the herbs/chili dressing was the perfect accompaniment. However, i felt as though some of the sea food was under cooked and under seasoned which brought down the flavour of the dish completely. On a positive note, the calamari fritti and bruschetta were delicious!

Carllucio's restaurant is a nice italian restaurant located in the heart of London close to the main shopping area- Oxford Street. The closest tube stations Oxford Street and Marble Arch. All of the locations of this amazing Italian restaurant are very central as well.
I remeber that we ordered two different pasta dishes. The first one was Ravioli and the Second one- Penne Alla Luganica. Great italian atmosphere, huge venue with a lot of seats, but a bit crowded in the evenings so make reservations in advance!

Carluccios is an Italian favourite and is perfect for casual dates with friends and family. This particular branch at St Christopher’s is a regular and I have probably been more than 20 times. Never have there failed me. I have been with my mum, partner, siblings, best friends, everyone. It’s lovely in the summer al fresco style but the tables are very popular in the summer. St Christopher’s place is one of my favorite hang out spots in central London, it’s next door to Bond Street station so accessibility is perfect. Staff are really lovely. Today we had a nice chat with the Polish waitress (so sorry, I didn’t ask for her name) and she was a joy. I absolutely adored her. She made us laugh and feel welcome and it’s always nice to get that from staff once in a while. The polenta cake for dessert is a new one and I loved it. Look at the colours of the rhubarb or is it blueberry sauce? So divine. Always nice with the seafood pasta. Never go wrong with the freshness.

A staple on St Christopher's place, the chain founded by the late Carluccio delivers a double experience of restaurant and delicatessen. You can purchase lovely for products that make move gifts such as trio of oils or chutneys. The restaurant is modern and unfussy with an outdoor terrace which is used all year round.

Thought Carluccio’s is a chain of restaurants (I’m not a fan of chain restaurants 😐) it will never disappoint you. Nice and cozy place next to busy Oxford street. Good option to eat if you are shopping around. By the way, Christmas decorations at St Christopher’s please are amazing :)

Great location with friendly staff. Good choice of specialist drinks like Peroni Gran Reserva which is ideal for summer. They allow smokers to site outside and some are rude and just blow smoke everywhere. A great place to people watch, and prices that are reasonable for this area. You can just get a beer or a coffee as they don't demand you have a meal like other places.

The staff is really helpful and friendly. The manager made sure with the kitchen that the food matched our allergies. I had the sea bass and it was amazing, the antipasti was also good. My friends had steak and avocado orzo and they also enjoyed it. All in all a 5 star experience.
