Best tea I've ever tasted. We found this London based company through buying a lot of teas locally, none seemed to be high enough quality to please us, but a local coffee shop stocked Good & Proper Tea. We started by having a pot of Sencha in store, and was so impressed by the subtle flavours, and pleased to find a Green that isn't bitter or burnt! (Although, in part down to the perfect brewing in store.) We walked out with a bag of retail Sencha.
We decided to visit Good & Proper Tea's website to see what else they stocked, incredibly happy to see a diverse range of teas on there, ranging from Black to Green, White to Herbal, as well as Oolong and Matcha. We bought A LOT of samples, to make sure Good & Proper Tea's standards and quality held out across the rest of their range, and we're very very pleased to say it does. I'm a sucker for the perfect Jasmine, and struggle to find a decent loose leaf Jasmine, this Jasmine is absolute perfection. After the sample packs, we divulged in a few bags of Assam, taking advantage of their 40% off sale.
Currently sat down with a pot of Assam, again, by far the best Assam I've ever had by a long shot. The brewing card that is sent with each tea is also very handy in getting the perfect brew, and would recommend you stick to it.

Much as I like coffee, there are times when only tea will do, and at those times, I head over to the Good and Proper Tea shop in Leather Lane. Proper tea, properly served in a comfortable area.
Pretty cool specialty coffee tasting experience, with each type of coffee accompanied by local dishes. The interaction with the customers is nice, however their contests aren’t too serious - no giveaways in the end.
A wonderful place! Excellent tea and tasty pastries. I was familiar with their online store and had tried the tea before, but I'm glad I went to the shop. It has a really nice atmosphere, very comfortable for conversation over tea with friends. Cannot recommend enough!
We came here for a chocolate cocktail night and we surely enjoyed all of it. The space they have is very warm and inviting which is always good.
The cocktails were excellently crafted and such a big selection of drinks you could pick from! None of them disappointed, we tried quite a few of them. Staff was also very friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend it!
This place is seriously amazing. I came here with a group of 22 for a hen party. The food is delicious, the menu just keeps giving. Starters were my favourite but the desert show was perfect for our party. Thank you.
Really nice tea place, they have an amazing selection of loose leaf teas and sell useful and unique equipment to make a proper brew, including what is needed to make proper matcha. There is plenty of space to sit and the marmite on toast for breakfast is soooo delicious, also has melted cheese. The matcha latte comes unsweetened, so you can add sugar if you like.
A wonderful place to enjoy tea and crumpets! The staff was very friendly and helped explain the different tea options. Crumpets were delicious as well especially with the homemade nutella! Would definitely recommend stopping in.
Wow this place is lovely, it’s so calm and relaxed with a nice seating area and friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. I tried the monthly crumpet collaboration and it was delicious. Will definitely have to come back here for breakfast and tea one day!

Very good food too! The inside is so cozy that actually feels like home, it has good wifi to work while enjoying a tea.
They even organise morning meditations!!!

Really good tea and crumpets! Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. 2 drinks and 4 crumpets came to about £23. Good value for the quality that you receive. Would definitely come back!!
Friendly, excellent quality, chilled. I walked in total about 4 and a half miles just to have a cup of tea here.... It's worth it! Highly recommend it you enjoy quality tea...
