The Foie Gras macaron was simply divine. The staff at the Belgravia branch were lovely and helpful too.

Been to the Covent Garden one (near Seven Dial) - friendly staff and amazing flavour - the rose one and the jasmine tea one are to die for.

Pierre Herme Paris stores that began in Tokyo are an international chain that sell chocolate and macarons with several luxury boutiques throughout Asia Europe and the Middle East. As I entered their store on Motcomb Street in Knightsbridge, the room had a minimalist interior and resembled more like a jewellery shop. With the help of a friendly and eager sales lady who was ready to share her knowledge, I bought a chocolate macaron and a salted caramel chocolate to take away. I ate it outside as there was no seating. The macaron was not too sweet and the flavours were intense with a good focus on texture. The salted caramel was creamy and didn’t satisfy my sweet craving so I went back into the store to take something else. There was a vast amount of other more unusual flavours of macarons including Rose and Quince and Apricot and Crunchy Pistachio. However I ended up buying a jam called Ispahan; named after Piere Herme’s most famous creation which is a delightful combination of lychee, rose and raspberry. Athough the jam recipe belongs to Pierre Hermé, the production is done by Christine Ferber, who is known as the queen of confiture! This was sure to be a real treat for my breakfast the next morning. Pierre Hermes talent goes way beyond his renowned macarons and chocolates. He also has delicious pound cakes, hazelnut spreads and more. With macarons ranging from £2.00 - £3.20 and jams at £10.00 it is a rather expensive affair. But this really is an experience where one savors the treat embracing all textures and flavours. Pierre herme - a true sensory artist.

Tasty macarons at reasonable prices. Got these 4 for 10€. Takeaway prices are slightly cheaper and there’s a park nearby to enjoy your macarons. Love the lychee flavoured one especially.

Thr chocolates are delicious. And this the only place in London I could find the famous Christine Ferber jam.

The best..the sweetest, the finest..macaroons in all UK!!! I have never ever tasted something better than these deliciousness and this is just an understatement! Directly imported from France, on a daily base..I don’t think that the service can get any better than this! The so rare and unique flavour combinations, such as vanilla and olive oil an asparagus and hazelnuts, just utterly blew my mind! Absolutely crazy and absolutely amazing and a must experience, at least once in a life!

Small but lovely branch of Pierre Herme. Not a patch on any of the branches in Paris I've been too but you can't expect it to be. Great selection of macaron's and chocolates and well as Gateaux Voyages ( which translates to "travelling cake" - meaning a nice packaged cake which you can take to visit friends etc) Staff always very nice and friendly and samples are always nice!

From the outside Pierre Herme could be another Knightsbridge shop selling jewellery or designer handbags, but this bakery specialises in something far more exciting than fashion – macarons! The best (and best-looking) macarons I’ve tasted actually, and I’ve eaten quite a few. The flavours change seasonally but you can expect to find Olive Oil & Vanilla or Passionfruit & Milk Chocolate amongst more traditional flavours like Rose, Coffee or Lemon. Apparently the Creme Brulee flavour will be making its way into London soon, which I’m more excited about than I’d care to admit. Obviously the ones I tried tasted amazing (I was invited down to take a look at the shop, and they were very generous) but special mention has to be made of the incredibly zingy lemon macaron. Even though it was a little wilted – it had been out of the fridge all afternoon, my bad – it still tasted incredible. As expected with a shop this gorgeous, the packaging is something to behold. I especially liked the London Landmarks gift box, which was cute without being twee, and will definitely last a lot longer than the macarons. They’d make a great gift for anyone with a sweet tooth. Pierre Hermé isn’t cheap, in case you hadn’t already guessed. Some of the larger gift boxes (around 40 macarons) go for about £70, which seems a crazy amount to spend on confectionery. But you would have to be a particularly hedonistic type to bankrupt yourself at a macaron shop.

If you think Laduree is good, think again. This is the dream place of any Macaron lover! Totally worth the price. Make sure to try the passion fruit and chocolate. It’s a classic and most popular for a good reason ;-)

This review is actually for the newly opened Pierre Hermé in Covent Garden, London. This amazing patisserie located in the heart of Covent Garden opened November this year and everything is just shiny and sparkling and magical. Firstly the shop is beautiful and really makes use of the room it has to display all of Pierre Hermé's delicious offerings display. It's probably what led to my family leaving the shop not only with their macarons, but also their cake aux fruits, and a box each of the Assortiment de Pâtes de Fruits and Mendiants au Chocolat au Lait. Yay! :D The gentleman and lady who assisted us were very patient and helpful, going into detail about each product we were interested in and telling us a little bit about the stores in Paris too. I'd highly suggest people go beyond just buying Pierre Hermé's macarons if you're really looking for a sweets adventure. That being said, Pierre Hermé's macarons are really something. Don't be afraid of the unusual combinations of flavours the macarons come in; I'm sure you'll be in for a very pleasant surprise. Yes, everything is a little pricey, but if you're going to indulge you might as well get the best, and I think what Pierre Hermé offers is pretty much that.

Beautiful fine French macaroons and chocolates on a different level to English chocolatiers but the cakes and breads are just superlative. That's actually a criticism because this branch doesn't sell the latter. What a big shame. Also how about a couple of seats so it's not just a takeaway?

Just like the shops in Paris, this Pierre Herme boutique is very swish. Loving the fact it is sometimes mistaken as a perfume shop, this boutique has the range of macarons, chocolates, chocolate bars, jams, teas and other Pierre Herme branded products. The shop itself is very beautiful and very couture. The only thing missing is the croissants which are available in Paris along with some of the patisserie. This shop is not huge but you flow easily through it just like one of the shops in Paris. For a little bit of Paris in London, go here for the authentic experience. If all you want are the macarons, you can get them at Selfridges too ;-)
