Tonight was my third visit to Frog Hoxton. Each time the food and service have been exceptional. Service is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. What Frog Hoxton does best is taking everyday ingredients and then elevating each one into something special that really makes you think about the different flavours you are experiencing. Pair that with a perfectly chosen beer or glass of wine and you are onto a winner. Fine dining done in a casual and relaxed manner - excellent.

What a great experience this place is, FANTASTIC service and staff knowledge, great food and a great core belief of zero waste. Most people write reviews starting with the food of course? On this occasion the staff, chefs & especially the general manager deserve the plaudits first as they were outstanding offering great recommendations (including an off menu pastry infused negroni drink) and explanations of the dishes. All this with a genuine happiness made it stand out for me. The tasting menu is likely the way to go for most and it won't disappoint the fish dishes were a personal highlight along with the "finger food" I won't ruin the magic much more.........JUST GO!

Very attentive staffs and the food was amazing. All flavours work and food was cooked to perfection. Love my cocktail, Raspberry Punch. Their tasting menu was such great value to try all their delicious dishes.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. We had the 4 course set menu and it was delicious, everything was really well done. The lamb was especially good. There were some interesting flavour mixes which were new to me but have to say, all the flavours complimented each other well.

As a Masterchef fan, I couldn't resist visiting Adam Handling's The Frog a few years back and it was a great experience with his interpretation of the mac and cheese the highlight.
A couple of years later, I invited some friends to visit the Hoxton site and try their tasting menu. Maria at The Frog was very accommodating of my (very particular) menu requirements for the day, and the service on the day continued that care and attention.
A long and narrow restaurant with all tables in view of the open kitchen, a suitably hipster vibe, and comfortable seating, it was a marvelous setting.
The tasting menu was explained to us with options to switch where appropriate and we waited for the courses. The only negative I experienced was that the non alcoholic cocktails we went for (elderflower and coconut water based) were undersized and did not taste great. However, the waiters were quick to fill up water glasses unprompted. Also, we found the tasting menu's price to be very reasonable (£60pp).
The courses arrived and were each greeted with admiration for the plating and then satisfaction for the flavours. Personal highlights included the salt-baked celeriac with apple, the duck breast with beetroot and rhubarb, the fantastic dessert spread, and of course the renowned mac and cheese.
A tiny issue (which in fairness I only realised after we left) was that we didn't receive the cheese doughnuts course that we were expecting. That in addition to the lacklustre mocktails - but counterbalanced against the decent value, great food and excellent service - made this a 4.5 star experience overall. I certainly recommend it.

Very much enjoyed our tasting menu experience here. It was a pretty leisurely service, which suits me because I don't really mind a long lingering dinner, although one of my dining companions started to get a bit freaked out when we were getting dessert around 10:45pm. Nonetheless I would certainly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Just had a fantastic birthday meal at The Frog, which I have wanted to visit for ages!
The food is very rich, and felt decadent.
We had the tasting menu with the beer flight, which was a revelation! Who knew that food and beer could be paired so well. It was the first night of the new menu and beer pairing, so we were giving loads of feedback to the fantastic, friendly, attentive staff. Highlights of the menu were the carrot snack and the amazing celeriac starter. And the cheese doughnut with it's perfect beer pairing. Who knew!!!!??? Love the open kitchen and service. Music couldn't been slightly less clubby, but wasnt too annoying.

Amazing place. My friend brought me here as a birthday gift. We took the tasting menu and it was my first time to have such an experience. Food was exquisite. Trying all the food they serve and the experience was amazing. The staff were very professional as they took us through the menu and the food and explained it clearly. The atmosphere is great. I loved the plaice, crab, potato, schnitzel and the steak dishes. The chocolate tofu, cherry pistachio dish was amazing as well and it’s worth trying. The food is worth every penny. I definitely recommend it for someone that likes to try a-lot of dishes at once!

Recently opened (in the last few weeks) located near Old Street station. It’s an open plan kitchen with and modern, contemporary and urban restaurant serving an excellent menu. We opted for the tasting menu and we were pleasantly surprised by the dishes. Some of the items I wouldn’t even knew or thought might go well together. There was four of us and I don’t eat fish, the team here were able to change any fish dishes to suit my dietary needs so thank you so much. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a great lunch and couldn’t ask for anything more! I hear the evening dinner gets really busy so you’ll need to book in advance but lunchtime service is less busy. I love the concept that Adam Handling has created and it’s a place that I would definitely coming back.

We tried this in the first week of opening.
The space and decor are very nice and the big open kitchen gives the room a good feel. When the restaurant got busy, it became quite noisy, which didn’t bother us too much, but can be too much if you want a quiet evening.
The food was very good with a few unexpected dishes. We had picked the taste menu with paired wine. One of the people serving the wine was speaking very fast. It was very difficult to understand what he was explaining which took away from the experience.
