Great place to chill with friends with some good cocktails
Very good place with freshly made and served food items and platters at reasonable prices and prompt and punctual service as well. Highly recommended.
I ordered hot mochas at this place. And this was so delicious that i couldn't stop myself to visit this place again. The staff here is so friendly, chatty and kind, I stay here for so long. And yes, how can i forget to mention that there is a very good terrace for summery days.
The team behind Brick Lane’s Big Chill Bar have been running a second venue, Big Chill House, since 2011. This rustic rooftop bar in King’s Cross is located on top of a former Georgian Pub, decked out with little food and drink huts, fruit plants and a few sun loungers for those rare sunny days.
The Big Chill is a great hang out , excellent terrace on for summery days in the sun. The food is very good and reasonably priced . Then at night it becomes a hedonistic playground with great DJ's and a packed house.
Beating the chill on a cold day, we entered this one for a cuppa coffee and some hot finger food and boy did we win a jackpot!
Ordered hot mochas which were frothy and yumm as hell. Never had a such a good one before!
Moving on the food, we ordered a veggie hot dog and a chicken wrap. For a surprise, the veggie hot dog was way better than the chicken wrap. And was sumptuous enough.
Even after the food, what kept us hanging around was the lovely, friendly, chatty staff and excellent ambience. The aesthetics have actually been done very tastefully.
However, being a vegetarian, I would really like of there are more veg options available.
Overall experience, very nice.
Value for money, yes.

I was supposed to have written and published before our 3 week trip to China, but with last minute preparations at home and work shelved all thoughts of that. So here it is. A week or so ago I was contacted by a lady from fourteenten.com, who sent me a card offering me to try #breakfastmyway at the Big Chill House in Kings Cross. Who am I to turn down a chance to sample a place offering a new take on one of my favourite meals of the day. Thankfully this was not just for breakfast, but they do brunch at weekends as well. Phew, as working in West London it makes KX a difficult place to get to for a quick brekkie. I managed to fit in a couple of visits to the Big Chill House. It's more known for its weekend gig nights than breakfast. But this they are trying to change. I love nothing more than watching the world go by and this I did very easily with their large windows facing onto Pentonville Road. Great cocktails, friendly staff & good music. All round a good atmosphere & when they knew I'd come from far they gave me some stickers which was cute! Will 100% be returning before I go home.
I'm going to admit this. I kind of like the Big Chill. Whilst not as trendy as it's Shoreditch counterpart, it has a sort of charm at 3am when you're sat on the balcony area outside enjoying the fairy lights and city views. It has a bit of a grotty reputation for the club nights which is why saying I like it is a bit of a rogue admission... but the staff are great and will always pull together a fun cocktail for you if you don't know what you're after.
The menu is average and so is the food you're served, but the again I think us Londoners are perhaps becoming gastro snobs - it's regular old pub food. But don't let this put you off from turning up at midnight for a cocktail served with sweets on a stick... yeah that's a thing.
This place is mostly about the atmosphere and experience. The food is good but it's the whole package that makes the trip. I like their simple menu there's hardly more than 3-4 starters and maybe 5-6 mains.
The burger is probably the best option but the fries aren't really anything to rave about. However, the cocktails will make sure any lingering disappointment is dispelled. Try any of them(seriously) last time I had the mojito so maybe start with that.
Make sure you go early so that you can get a place in the rooftop terrace it really adds to the whole experience.
The venue is a lively restaurant and bar located just opposite Kings Cross station.
I came there for an special occasion and had a great dinner in the top floor.
Remember that I had a salad with garden pees and mixed seeds and Eat Beef Burger, which was quite nice contained blue cheese, red onion, chilli salsa, and skin-on fries.
The staff were really nice, helpful and very well organized!

An absolute find. A great team, a real mix of people and some great beers on Tap. The burgers are sublime and I could have easily had two of them. Service is attentive and the DJ was great too. A really fun evening.
Had a great two hours at the bottomless brunch on a Sunday. The service is exceptional and the servers ensure you're drinks are topped up or replaced before you have even finished. The food was so nice and cooked to perfection. Well definitely visit again.

Visited Big Chill for their "California Love" hip-hop and RnB themed night (ironically, on the day Tupac's killer is apprehended in California). The venue is a gigantic pub lounge type bar with wooden paneling and many seating options and bar stools, plus four cushioned seating areas, two downstairs and two upstairs. These were initially cordoned off with rope for private reservations, where it seemed the groups enjoyed some classic pub food - burgers, fries, chicken wings, onion rings and many condiments and dipping sauces. Served on large sharer platters for the whole group to enjoy.
Looking at the food and seeing the enthusiasm with which the guests were eating, it would be in my mind to return at a different, earlier time and enjoy some food, too. However, as we didn't eat here, no comment or Star rating out of five can be left for the food aspect.
The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. There was a good, palpable, positive energy from the street outside and the door in. Definitely helps that they played some fantastic music from the 90s and 00s ranging from East and West Coast Hip-Hop to older and newer RnB, too. Felt as if we had been transported to maybe a New York or SoCal bar with the vibes and the tunes.
There is a downstairs that was also just for some reserved party guests but the main ground floor has a huge L-shaped bar on the left hand side, then a big dancefloor complete with giant retro disco ball hanging down in the centre and multicoloured strobe lights blanketing the floor. Had a retro, vintage, fun and chill feel, perfectly in line with the name of the place.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be back another time for food and definitely in the future for specific events.

Great staff, atmosphere and interesting building.
Staff were friendly and regularly about to collect cups.
Atmosphere is great as the layout of tables, TVs and decor were pretty much perfect. Though there are a few spots they can add more TVs.
The layout of the place is very interesting, few indoor balcony and also outside rooftop area.
Hired out the deco lounge for my birthday and it was great! Great place, vibe, was able to play my own music, tasty starters and great service, by Saai to be specific, was very friendly.
Only thing was some alcohol options where not available and the sound system could have also been louder.
The lunch deal is the real highlight of the place!
Burgers are generally tasty, and the chips are better than a lot of places. All their menus {brunch, burger, sides} have vegetarian and vegan options, so it would suit more diverse groups. The lunch deal is only £10 - it offers a burger, fries and a drink {one used to be able to choose which burger, but now they've standardised it}.

Went for a wander whilst waiting for a train and found this gem of a bar. Drinks were fab, great music and very modern. Loved it.
Great place for a corporate activity or a drink. The food was delicious, the cocktails and mocktails were really good and wide options. The staff were happy people, especially at the bar, all very easy to approach. Dance floor, indoor space and terrace? What else can you ask for. Also very close to tube station. Recommended for sure.
What a fabulous place! Went for drinks and had the avocado on toast. Delicious! Little more than what I normally pay, great ingredients and made with love. Good music, really nice staff and kept clean. Sitting in the sun on the rooftop bar😃
