Can a chicken burger ever be tastier than a beef burger? Too f**king right it can! Yum yum nom nom will be back here soon for more. I also tried the beef burger (half n half innit) and it’s as good as it gets. Yes please! Decent tunes to boot.

This place has a special charm. Vintage, deliberately low key interior, cosy interior, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, simple yet delicious food, well chosen house wine and superb comedy host Alex in the comedy club downstairs.

My boyfriend had treated me to dinner at Mangal 2 in Dalston but as we finished at about 8 we decided to go for a drink before heading home to the newly opened Farr's School of Dancing, which just happens to be right next to the bus stop that we use to get home from Dalston.

This was quite the funky place. The bar is a central island, and an eclectic mix of seating can be found around the edges - what looked like converted cinema seats, sofas etc. It had a homely, slightly ramshackle feel to it and plenty of space in the middle for dancing later in the night. They were also playing some great music - stuff with a sort of 60s soul vibe that had my shoulders shaking.

And the prices! One round cost us 8 pounds - and that was with me getting a large glass of wine (which was served in a carafe which I thought was cute). Where else can you get that, even if it was house wine? For this we could even forgive the surly bartendress her lack of warmth.

I don't think I'd need much of an excuse to go back, but the fact that we will literally have to pass it every time we catch the bus could provide the perfect reason to have 'one for the road'.

Cute pub. Good espresso martini… May return again just to try other bits. Made me drool and want more of the oregano fries. So simple yet delicious!!

Sarah and Amins are excellent bar staff. The “Paco Tacos” are insanely tasty. We spent more than £20 a head, but only because the food, drinks and music were awesome

1st visit. I only stopped by because I was on my way to meet my friend for a gig and coincidentally her name is Farr. I had a Pavement Press cider (1st time too) and enjoyed it. The bar is spacious, comfortable and has a lovely flower garden behind the building.

Popped in for a pint before dinner with friends. Quick friendly service, Guinness was decent to be honest. Nice tunes playing.

Staff are nice, pub/bar is mint. Does a comedy night for up and coming comics. Won a bag of sweets, proper job.

I went recently after many years. The front has been decorated to a good standard, while the inside remains the shabby chic decor that it makes this place special and unique. It did have a downstairs for club nights but Covid has taken that away from us and replaced it with Private Hire. Good selection of drinks, reasonably priced and decent music. The crowd are local and it is a good spot for chill out and chats.

We Are Funny Project is honestly one of my favourite places to perform Stand Up. I have been gigging here for a year now and can't wait for the next 12 months. Brilliant and safe place to hone your skills as a comic, couldn't recommend enough! Plus they offer courses in Stand Up, MCing, clowning, and many more. The amount of friends I've made here is immense!
