The best of Portugal abroad! Very good people and exceptional service. Highly recommend!
Loved it! Lovely staff , the food was sooo tasty and made me remember my loving country. Was great and be sure i will come back.
No need to go to Portugal, Bar Estrela transports you there without the horrible Ryanair flight.
Mostly Portuguese patrons, the restaurant is truly targeted to that community. The food is typical Portuguese food, coffees that are made properly and cheap beer. They have an outdoor seating area, which is where most everyone sits. You can literally lounge for hours and no one will bother you.
Recently, my flatmate and I go here for breakfast on Saturday mornings. The coffee is great and their omelets are super. Best part, super cheap!
They also have a good take-out service.
Note: nearly all the staff speak Portuguese and English is not a forte.
Bar Estrela is another Portuguese cafe/restaurant where you're not only made to feel welcome but the food and drink they serve are absolutely delicious!
My latest dish there was a simple breaded chicken sandwich (sandes de frango panado) now this might not seem like the most exciting dish but i promise you it went down a treat! The chicken was properly marinated therefore it was tasty and crispy and the bread was soft.
Serving time was quick, and the staff were friendly and courteous.
A great place for a light snack or meal! Though they have some fantastic dishes that will be sure to fill you up if you want more than a sandwich! :)
The portions here were huge. Whilst the food offering is quite standard to what you’d expect from a Portuguese restaurant (tapas, fish, meat) they were all cooked well. This place has a large outside space which is perfect for a nice sunny day.
Back at one of my favourite Portuguese restaurants in London after almost 2 years! Glad to report that the food is still absolutely delicious! Had a large amount of food that barely fit the table! The tiger prawns were stellar, the clams too. Chourico assado was very good, and the ribs were a delight. Definitely go for a cold Sangria if sitting outside with the sun!!
Definitely save space for dessert with coffee!
The restaurant was very generous with the portion and the food also tasted quite good. We like their homemade sardine paste for the bread as a starter (although it’s not free), the roasted pork leg was very very tender and the monk fish/shrimp skewer was also not bad. Although we only ordered 3 meals for 4 of us but we were stuffed with happinesses;)
Probably the best Portuguese restaurant in London. The food was delicious, the portions were extremely generous and the customer service was brilliant. The staff was delicate and polite. I do recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in trying Portuguese food in London. Do not want to influence your choice but the lamb was perfectly cooked.

Nice local place around Vauxhall. Good food quality and a great selection available on the menu.
Will return again and try out other options on the menu. Thinking about the selection of food I ordered I enjoyed the whitebait the most
Amazing Portuguese restaurant. Good quality and great service.

What a great place to have a meal and enjoy some of the finest Portuguese cuisine. Had such a wonderful experience and tasted some great dishes. Looking forward to our next visit to try the other dishes on the menu. Just parking is a slight issue but don't let this put you off as you will miss a massive treat.
Feels like being in Portugal in the middle of South London. Food is great.
Lovely, cosy Portuguese restaurant. Delicious dishes, my favourite Bitoque Chicken, with a tasty sauce and fried egg on top. Comes with rice and skinny fries. This place is our family favourite.
