Amazing food and very patient staff. Thank you, we will be back. There were ten of us and everyone cannot wait until next time!
Ordered about 5 different dishes, each to their own had an amazing taste I loved how tender the lamb meat was with the Qabooli Pallow.. good to finally taste the actual Afghan/persian food again after a while. Make sure to have the Afghan green tea in the end. Will see you guys soon again :)
Food is okay and portion sizes are decent. We tried panir and aubergine for starters and okra for mains along with a jug of dough. Panir was disappointing(salad with feta cheese). Breads were warm and tasty. Aubergine was good and loved tge saffron rice as well. The ambiance was a okay, not well lit and tables were sticky. Cost is ~15 pp.
baked aubergines with tomatoes and egg GBP 4.50 – I think the aubergines were slightly burnt rather than charcoaled. But otherwise, was a nice warm dip with the bread.
houmous GBP 3.95 – good texture with little chuncky bits but lacks seasoning and the punch of garlic.
bread GBP 1.50 – eat while it is warm because it gets crispy when it is cooled.
mantoo GBP 8.95 – wheat flour stuffed with minced lamb and onions, served with yoghurt, dry mint and meat sauce. The pasta was light and not cloying on the teeth. Stuffed with generous filling of meat and sauce, it was my favourite.
portions of marinated whole poussin, charcoal grilled, served with saffron steamed basmati rice and grilled tomato mixed vegetable GBP 8.95 – the poussin was moist, full of flavour and I was impressed by the portion size!
stewed finely diced lamb cooked with aubergines, split peas, tomatoes, dry lime and served with saffron steamed basmati rice GBP 8.95 – delicious tender meat, well cooked aubergine and the tangy flavour from the dried lime was marvellous. Yum!
spicy chilli relish with walnuts – served alongside the mains. With my Asian heritage and the ability to tolerate the chilli heat, I would say that this chilli sauce is on the scale of 2/5 but my European hubby rates it at 3.5/5. A bowlful of rice with this chilli sauce for me, was exquisite!
persian ice-cream GBP 3.00 – saffron ice-cream with pistachio nuts. It was delicious but not if you have more than three teaspoonfuls where then the only taste that lingers in your mouth is the sweetness. Not very nice after that because I had to wash it down with water.
This place is great! Very cosy, service can be slow if very busy - however overall great! Also Shisha is available outside.
Great restaurant with authentic Afghan and Iranian food at its best. Can get a little too busy (with resulting slow service) on Fridays and Saturdays though. Otherwise very attentive staff and very reasonably priced tasty food: much better than more expensive options in West London.
A pleasant surprise: good, honest cooking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The vegetarian options are limited but very well put together.
Loved the restaurant!!! Pleased as it was freezing outside yet when we came it in was nice and warm.... Food is fresh and the best part is the bread which they make in front of you...however only downfall is the roast potatoes :-( should've chose chips
The place is a great find in an area that has not such great restaurants. The ambiance of the place is quite good and very pleasant. The food is delicious and all the dishes are absolutely delectable. The meats are also perfectly cooked and are delicious. The breads are also delicious. The service is good and the staff is friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great Persian food is served which is well presented as well. The quality of food is awesome and worth each penny spent. So, it's value for money. The ambiance is very traditional and elegant. All in all, my visit was terrific and I plan to visit this place again.
This is one of the only good Persian places in East London. The menu is extensive and excellent, and the prices of the dishes are really nice and economical. They have impeccable service and give a personal touch to everything they do. I come here regularly with friend and family, and found the food to be consistently delicious. We usually have a three-course meal, and highly recommend it. Their meats are marinated perfectly and they are succulent and flavourful. The rice served is also cooked perfectly and is really nice and fluffy. The salads are brilliant and fresh, and the desserts are the best. This place is worth a visit.
We came across this place a few years ago and have been regular customers since, making it a point to go here at least one in every few months. The staff is very amicable, quick and efficient. The food is always delightful and quite affordable. The menu offers a wide variety in both vegetarian and non vegetarian good. They also have seating outside which makes for a beautiful view.
We came here straight after opening hours for lunch so they were still preparing but we were seated and given a happy reception. We ordered starters and mains and they we could feel freshly cooked. The bread oven wasn’t ready yet so we got extra rice instead which we didn’t mind. The staff were really nice and the place was clean and well presented.
Great restaurant with sone super tasty dishes. The food was authentic Irani/Afghani whatever you may wanna call it and the portions are huge. I loved their shish kebab and the chicken wings. The prices are also rather cheap considering it’s London and the ambiance was neat and very persian.
This restaurant is so underrated ! I loooooove this restaurant
The food is one of the best persian i had so far in london, the portions are very good for 1 person.
Their rice however you order it just very well cooked, the Naaaan is freshly made deliciously.
Minced meat and the lamb shank were very very tasty very well cooked tinder comes off the bone
The staff were smiley and lovely
The atmosphere is family friendly, they also have outdoor seating for shisha
Very good location not too crowded with the traffic.
Thoroughly enjoyed trip to Ariana one of the nicer Persian places in town. The kebabs were juicy and flavourful.
The desserts were pretty good, the pistachio ice cream can be skipped or just ordered for the small matka that you can keep. Overall, genuinely enjoyed the meal there.
Love love love this place. I tried the one in Kilburn and Mile end. Very huge portion for the price in London. I always go for the skewer. The fresh flat bread and hummus are very tasty, highly recommend that. Would go with just bread, hummus and somekind of skewer. The employees are also so kind. One time I went in fasting and the lady gave me a very tasty pudding. So heartwarming, thank you so much.
It used to be my favourite restaurant but the quality this time just wasn't the same as before..something was missing the qabli pilao and the prawns were almost tasteless :(
Chicken was still great though.
Delicious food, especially the bread 🤤 really beautiful interior too
What a lovely place to eat!
I came here on a whim as it was on the way to the location I was going to - what a great choice that was, the atmosphere was very nice (can’t wait to come back and sit in the garden area in the summer) and the food was top tier, I went for a lamb kebab with rice and wow flavours wise it won’t be topped! Thoroughly enjoyed, if I did have one critique the tables were slightly sticky but I’ll definitely be back.
The most beautiful and authentic Afghani food very flavourful and tasty best restaurant I've ever been too the Qabeli palaw was so amazing my favourite meat so tender. The atmosphere was so lovely very great afficent service and freindly and warm place calming I would 100 percent recommend going . Man ashiq en lezet lazar . Man ehsas khosh astm.
