This is a hidden gem! Excellent Indian food, you can taste that the food is fresh and it is not too oily. Have been a number of times over the years and it has always consistently impressed.
A classic Indian with great food, good prices, friendly service. It was super quiet but very pleasant to sit outside on a summer evening. A great neighbourhood option
Honestly, the best Indian food! I have lived in the area a few years and used this placed a number of times. It's always good quality, fair price and absolutely delicious! Don't normally review but felt I had to here as only fair and by far better than any other I have eaten. Definitely recommend!
I rarely order from the same place twice because I like trying new stuff, but I haven't found a chicken bhuna as good as here anywhere else! It's warming, has nice texture, full of onions, well-seasoned (although may not be spicy enough for some) etc. Ordered at least 5 times now and other dishes are also great.
Note I am Eastern European so I had no idea what it's supposed to taste like, but I loved it!
Best Indian I’ve tried in London! Should be in the Michelin Guide of recommended restaurants - the food is absolutely banging and the service is spot on! You can tell they’ve been open for 15 years. If you have a tastecard you can get 2 for 1 - cheaper than making it yourself!
Our local! These guys will go out of their way to sort you out with anything you want. Their food is also fresh and flavoursome and never tastes oily which seems to be a rarity in London. They are so so welcoming to us and treat us like old friends every time we order.
Good food, good service. Monday night very quiet (expexted).
English pop music instead of some authentic Asian music, this should never happen.
This is a very 'down to business' type of establishment. There are no bells and whistles about the decor; that's fine, because the 'business' here is the food and the food is magnificent. The menu is wide ranging. The service is excellent, albeit at times curt. But all the staff are very professional. The restaurant is off the high street, in a residential neighborhood. It's a rare find in London. The prices are below London standard, and the food well above. I have taken many friends and family here for a meal. They have all loved it.
Fabulous meal at The chutney..service and food fantastic. Nothing to much trouble.
Great value for money
Will be back.
My favourite South London Indian takeout.
Portions are generous, and prices are affordable. Friendly staff.
Good curry house, decent food and well priced
