Passed by here for a quick pizza yet ended up having a calzone because they had a yummy looking one in display. Fresh dough and ingredients, pretty good taste but doesn’t feel real Italian. I liked it but wasn’t amazed.

Real Italian food and drinks, great quality and service. Will definitely choose it again! Perfect for both aperitifs and dinner. We had spritz and bruschetta just like at home

It was a random decision, running into this Italian joint at Chalk Farm and, by God, it was one of the rare fortunate mistakes you're glad you made when you're hungry! Bar Centrale has quite the Italian food and wine menu, but what is really worth mentioning is their home-baked breads. We had ordered a garlic bread and cannelloni (vegetarian) with salad - it was one of the most delicious and cheesy meals we'd ever eaten in a long while! The staff was friendly and chilling and the generous portions of food were served quick, good and piping hot, at highly competitive prices! I'd recommend every tourist to visit Bar Centrale once at least to taste good Italian food in London. The only minus, ironically, was that the food portions were so generous that you couldn't try much on their menu (especially after eating the garlic bread).

Favourite pizza place to date!

Would whole heartedly recommend this little gem :)

I have been a number of times now, but highlight was when I booked a table of 8 for my birthday- if you have a big group definitely book with some advance as they are pretty busy!

Their phone manner was great and they were lovely and patient waiting for all my "guests" to arrive. The slightly raised seating is the best; you get a airy feel and good view of the restaurant without being too near any draft producing doors. On a separate occasion I ate outside which was great weather-permitting.

I would recommend getting some drinks in first so you have something to sip as you browse the menu (there is plenty of choice). The price is the same as you would find in Pizza Express or the like but the quality of the food is unreal. The portions are generous and the food so fresh and juicy without being too greasy (a fate of most Pizza Express creations). I would recommend the calzones especially as they present the best value for money.I don't know any Italian but; nom nom nom

We have tickets to Franz Ferdinand at the Roundhouse, but before we submit ourselves to 90 minutes of high-octane indie music we have to eat. After a few minutes walking along Chalk Farm Road we begin to tire of our search and pop into Bar Centrale - our decision is based off little more than prices and an everlasting desire for pizza.

We ask for a table for two and watch on as the staff - led by a tall, Fawlty-esque Italian - fuss around bringing in a spare table from outside. As we wait, a genial elder gentleman beside us toys with a mic. We are sat in front of him as he begins to, ahem, perform.

It is rare I will say such things, but lets get the unimportant things like the food out of the way. The pizza is average, but loaded with toppings. I wish, however, that I'd chosen a calzone. These are loaded, and bulge like an appendix ready to burst. I could not explain just how large the calzones are without sounding like I am describing a cartoon. They are comically big. They swell like a mid-sized pumpkin. They look like the BFG's Cornish pasty. Our pizzas disappoint slightly as a result, with a base that is just a little overcooked, but they are nevertheless good value and far from poor.

The joy, though, that makes the whole meal, is the entertainment. We can only assume that the elderly gentleman singing to us is a member of the owner's family. There is almost no other reason for him to be there. Over the hour or so that we are present in the bar, he endears himself to us in a number of ways:

1. He sings only Frank Sinatra songs. Further more, he sings only the most obvious Frank Sinatra songs available. In the entire time we are there, he sings only one that we do not recognise. Otherwise, 'My Way', 'Fly Me To The Moon', 'That's Life' and 'Come Fly With Me' all make appearances.

2. He sings out of tune. Or, rather, not quite in tune. Occasionally flat, occasionally a mile off, every song is sung with a huge smile and an earnestness that means, regardless of technical quality, it is impossible to watch with anything less than a smile.

3. Sometimes that smiles burns irrepressibly into a laugh. For instance, when half way through a song, he forgets the lyrics. He stops the music. He starts the song again and then - at the exact same point - forgets the lyrics again. Later, when some friends of his stop by, he'll drift away from his songs mid-way through, and return to them later only when prompted.

The pizza is generous but flawed, and so is the music - though the latter is endearing enough to make your entire night.

I loved the place, very simple but cozy. The food was really nice, especially the focaccia which I could not stop eating. The service was great and we got a good value for the money. Glad to have found such a good place in the heart of Camden. I would definitely recommend 67 if you want to have a taste of real Italian food.

One of the best pizza I even tried in London. Very cosy and characteristic place. Pizza cooked in the wood oven, very tasty. Staff super friendly, the manager is working hard and put all the effort to keep always a good standard. Even now that I am living in south I will never stop to come all the way to eat this pizza. Highly recommended

My friend and I went for dinner. At the time, not all of the options was available. However, the pizzas that we did order tasted amazing! The service was great as well and the staff were very kind (offering us blankets and making sure the heater was keeping us warm outside).

Honestly the best authentic, delicious pizza my family and I have ever had. Very accommodating for our two youngest (one a baby) quick service and very good price. We do a hour and a half round trip just to go. If going the Calzones are incredible.

A good pre-gig alternative to the recently departed La Porchetta. There is outdoor seating on a September evening which is always appreciated. The quality of the pizza was excellent. The only downer was the service. The waiter gave us menus then didn't come back to ask about drinks for over 10 minutes. When he took the order I joked that he didn't write it down and sure enough he was back two minutes later to confirm the pizza choice. Two minutes later he was back with a glass of white wine as opposed to the bottle of red we ordered. But the rest of the servers were superb and very friendly.

Not sure why there are bad reviews on here, I imagine these are from competitors or people who are used to Dominos. I eat pizza here with friends and/or relatives and make sure I fit a pizza in I am anywhere in the area, esp great if you go to see a gig at the Roundhouse. The pizzas are excellent, the service is excellent and really inexpensive. I have only eaten pizzas that tasted this good in Italy.

Good value for money and great quality being in a touristy area. Feels very authentic. We had a margherita pizza + a bottle of Stella for £7.50, and a £8.80 prosciutto and funghi pizza. Pizza was nice and thin with plenty of tomato sauce and cheese. House wine was average. 3 good sized profiteroles for £4.20 was a bit pricey but delicious. Will definitely recommend and come back.
