Been here about 8 times with my partner for special occasions and valentines. Lovely food, good atmosphere and friendly staff..great value for money. Would recommend and we cant wait to go back
My first visit to Mai Thai in Wimbledon and I will "definitely " be back. Fantastic food, super friendly staff. Thai Food and service just as it should be 👍😀
A pleasant restaurant with an extensive menu... so if in doubt just go for the pineapple fried rice with prawns - it's divine. It usually gets busy, even on a weekday, so I recommend booking a table in advance. The service is not the quickest but it is still pleasant.
The food is brilliant and very reasonably priced. Ended up having dinner here twice in 3 nights while my dad was down and both times were lucky to get a table. Would recommended the spicy fishcakes, "plah goong" - spicy prawn salad, mushroom tom yum soup and chicken jungle curry. We also tried the pad Thai and the chicken green curry over the two days which was great as well. Only lose half a star as on the 1st day although she was friendly got the starter wrong and wasn't sure of the Thai names on the menu and on the second visit one of the staff had to be reminded about the drinks we had ordered. I know I'm being a bit picky but overall the staff were attentive and nice. Also the condiments that go with(chilli chopped in vinegar and the red chilli flake/powder) go brilliantly with the soup and curry for spice lovers. Will be back soon. Sorry forgot to add, the chicken satay is amazing to!
Mai Thai is a good, dependable thai restaurant and it's good value too. I'd recommend the steamed pork dumplings and the pad thai, which are very well cooked. Be prepared to wait though - service isn't the quickest!
We normally go to a far more expensive Thai but the prices caught our eye. We were pleasantly surprised, and having just got back from Thailand, knew what quality to expect. The Green Papaya Salad, spicy, was great and really fresh. The Pad Thai was tasty and loads of good sized prawns. We had a bottle of wine, 2 starters and the mains above, all of which came to £45 including tip. Amazing value. I'm not sure about other reviews. I guess they don't know Thai food. and as to the service, no problem there. Great all rounder. There is better but not at this price that I know of in London.
The best Thai food I have had in AGES!!!! It was so good, I forgot my scarf and when I called the day after, the staff were incredibly helpful.
Great food, amazing prices; I will definitely be going back the next time I visit London.
A real must for anyone visiting the area.
Great and Affordable Home Cooked Thai Cuisine at the Heart of Wimbledon.
Lovely interior in and out with relaxing ambience for your dining experience.
The food was of high quality with generous portion. One serving is good for 2 to share.
I also love the dish sauces. Very authentic and great to the palate.
A great service with a smile too.
Completely fantastic. My partner and I have just moved to the area and love Thai food. Everything was 5 star. Service was excellent and staff every accommodation. Will absolutely be back! Thankyou!!
I loved the food here. I've been looking for pineapple rice for a while and was delighted to find that they served it in a pinapple! The prawns on the delicious Pad Thai were huge, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. I just loved the blend of spices in all the dishes, plus the service and atmosphere were great.
I went here one of my friend recommended, visited here on Thursday dinner time. Pretty busy most of seating area was full. I really like the interior:)
Ordered som dam( papaya salad), green curry, coconut rice stuff. All of the dish was great 👍 specially the beef dish was very soft and the sauce was great! Staff are friendly but we felt bit push us to finish foods. Understand when if busy they need to clean empty dish quick so the table can run quick as possible. But we wanted to have little relaxed dinner and talking, but seems like they want to clean as faster:) part from this all was great 👍 we will be back may be not busy time 😬😬
Great restaurant with friendly staff and great selection of Thai food. My favourite is the Tomyang seafood noodle for lunch, pretty generous portion with fresh sea food.
We always order the Som Tam, and it is always well seasoned and ripe to perfection.
It is a child friendly place, spacious enough to place a buggy.
A very good lunch experience. I was attracted to the restaurant because of the mango sticky rice. It turned out the two curry dishes were very good. The mango sticky rice finished the lunch with a high note and satisfying experience. Mango sticky rice is a seasonal dish in the UK. Don't miss it.
This is the best Thai restaurant in Wimbledon. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. Really looking forward to coming here again.
Now I was introduced to Thai yellow 8 years ago and feel in love. Many Thai restaurants do not have this is their menu.
Mai Thai Wimbledon does and I’m so happy to have in my local town. I was in heaven with every bite.
Iced coffee was very well made and I will always recommend.
Parking is easy as 2 near car parks either side. X
My favourite Thai restaurant!! Been here many times and yesterday for the first time after lockdown. Food is always great, good portions and tasty, service is nice and efficient, cosy atmosphere, love the decorations!! I had a great evening as always.. definitely recommend if you are in the area..
Small place. Typical London prices . £3.50 for a bottled Singha. Food was good quality but portions were small. Overall nothing wrong but have had better .Green tea was unusual as a flower slowly " grew" in the glass .
