Devran review My partner and I were in the area and opted to eat at this place as we’ve heard about it from friends before. Entrance - Very easy to find, big sign on the main road. Welcoming. Food - They had a lunchtime menu on, starter and main for £11.50 which we thought was a bargain only the choice of starters in my opinion were very poor. The starters are basically the free salad you would get with your main meal. I wish there was meat options for the starter as little bowls of salad isn’t great. The mains were lovely, we ordered lamb donor, it came with rice and more salad. Chilli sauce too. Cooked from fresh very tasty and filling. Drinks - we ordered two cocoa-colas with a slice of lemon and they were lovely! Decor - Absolutely beautiful! It was very modern and the plates matched the decor which was nice. Atmosphere - it wasn’t busy as it was early but still a nice atmosphere overall. Cleanliness - Very clean and tidy, including the toilets could not fault it. Cost - £33 in total which is an absolute bargain!! Customer service - Everyone was nice, friendly & attentive. Anything we needed was done within minutes, great staff! Overall - 10/10 - the food was great, the drinks were great and the staff were even better!! I look forward to returning, thank you!

Devran is honestly one of the best Turkish restaurants I've ever been too. Every time the food is always on point. I order from Devran on a regular basis when I'm hosting social events, and every time my guests are raving bout how good the food is and asking where it's from. I usually order the Family special platter, and all of the vegetarian options for my veggie friends, who are equally impressed! Only recently was the first time I sat to eat inside the restaurant for my younger brother's 18th birthday for 15 people. The service was immaculate, everyone was kind and professional. Very happy! Please keep up the excellent quality, service and FOOD! Thank you

We went to Azizye in fact however their grill closes at 9:30 ( not advertised so please watch out) had made the journey and hungry we thought we should try Devran. Pleasant surprise it was as good as Azizye and food was amazing. Giving four stars and not five because their closing time was near so service was rushed and we were constantly reminded whilst we were eating. However decor and ambiance of the place was good Food was absolutely awesome. Their deserts that we tried were good as well. Warm starters well you have got to eat them to really know how good they are especially spring rolls and calamari. Not Chewy at all and soft however fully cooked. Lamb shank was one of the best I have had again it was coming off the bone as we ate. Mix grill was nice as well Overall it was excellent food. I certainly would recommend and will come here again.

I went to this restaurant in couple of times within a month for a dinner, I am not able to judge and mark any restaurant until I am fully checked. The parameters I check in a food business is, there level of customer service, quality of the food and presentation. In my first visit I was late and we have very limited time to order and finish the food within time. First visit customer service and the food was excellent, the food is properly cooked and the presentation was good. And also the level of customer service is also good though on a second visit customer service was appalling as they were bit busy to be honest you really come to know service when restaurant are busy and it was let down food however again food was amazing. i would recommend food but not at busy times

This place has had a makeover and very nice it is too!! The new colours really brighten the place up a with a fresh and modern feeling. The staff are so welcoming creating an environment that seems to appeal to all walks of life. They are also very attentive and our food & drinks order came super quick. I love the fact the staff also dress really smartly - no t-shirt and jeans here! Well done! The seating area is plentiful and the cutlery and crockery are stylish and trendy. The food was soooo delicious - I ordered the chicken doner. It came beautifully presented and was absolutely scrumptious! Seasoned to perfection - just so flavourful! My mouth is watering just thinking about it now!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good Turkish food prepared and presented in a friendly & welcoming setting.

Food is very good and diverse. We ordered the £9.50 meal deal as we were expecting a smaller portion since we were not that hungry. To our surprise, the portion size was quite big and very delicious. The starters were fresh and delicious as well. Staff was polite and friendly. Toilets were not bad, but can definitely be improved.

This afternoon a great offer took my friend and I there "two course meal for £9.50" the service was excellent and food so delicious. So full and satisfying spent our entire day there as the atmosphere so peaceful with great staff especially the waitress Gerta that served us. She was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back there again soon. 😇😊

Baaaaaaad. This place used to be the best Turkish in London. I used to recommend friends and every time I went was greeted with a warm Turkish welcome. HOWEVER I ordered on the phone for a 15 minute collection. Cycled for 20 minutes only to be told it wasn't ready and I needed to wait 20 minutes. I would have accepted this better if the usual excellent hospitality had delivered the message but was shouted at and told it wasn't his (chef's) fault and could leave. I raised this with the management at the time only to receive a change in attitude from the chef and an insincere apology from staff - no resolution. Before leaving a negative review I wanted to relay concerns to management. I was told they have had multiple problems with the member of staff I raised and were disappointed the same happened again. I offered to pay if it was delivered to me (a 5 minute walk) and was told they were too busy but could meet me on the street. NOT how a customer should be treated after 4 years of loyalty. Will not be going back when there are plenty of reputable and tasty restaurants as competition.

Top Service and Top food. I have my usual Lamb Sarma Beyti which is cooked to perfection. I visit North Cyprus every year and can say that no beyti over there comes close to Devran. I am not a big fan of any mixed grill from anywhere as it gets a bit samey after a few bites for me. I like my yoghurt and sauce type dishes and Devran has a very nice style. Always a plus when you walk in and say usual please and it's on the grill already even before you are seated!

Stoke Newington is very popular place for Turkish restaurants and recently I asked the question to my instagram family of where their favourite turkish restaurant and the answer of Devran came back as a popular place so I decided to not go to my regular Gokyuzu and tryDevran. I visited on a Sunday evening and the place was not very busy. Not messing about, I went straight ahead and ordered the Devran special costing £34.90 consisting of Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, Adana Kofte, Lamb Ribs 4pcs, Lamb Chops 2pcs, Chicken Wings 8pcs, Chicken Doner and Lamb Doner served with rice and couscous.

Amazing turkish food. I was introduced to Devran in Haringey and was very satisfied with the food. Then some months ago, perhaps even a year ago I came across Devran in Stoke Newington and I must say that the Devran experience just got better. The food was great the service had been even better and the price was as expected. I usually order the Devran Special to share between two. I think that 3-4 people can consume it. I only go for the platter because there are many things on the menu that I'd like to have a nibble of. Good food but their mixed grill for a single person lacks variety and the things a person would want so hence I and others go for the Devran Special.<br/><br/>Go to Devran, get the Devran Special for 2-3 people and get whatever is left packed and take it home to share! :)<br/><br/>Ps. The starter bread and sauces are great, but go easy because you can get carried away, otherwise you'll struggle to demolish the mains.

LOVE LOVE AND LOVE!! I'm a huge turkish food fan however recently i noticed majority restaurant had good food but bad service. Devran at stoke newington has always been good to me. Fresh good food and friendly customer service. Waiters kept coming to check if we needed anything and if the food was ok. We normally get the devran special which says to be for 2-3 people but i doubt it... It could feed 5!!!
