We had a lovely experience. They were fully booked and we couldn’t sit outside but they accommodate us inside with a lovely table. They were swamped, only three people were working, but they were working non stop. They had wonderful wine selection and the snails were amazing. The large cheese board came with French bread, three selections of cheeses. We ordered fries for the kids, they were the American fries, not crispy. The service was good, but it was Saturday night and we felt they were short staffed. A bit pricey and the service charge is high. But we liked the experience and would recommend it.
Excellent food, if quite expensive (£75 for 2 mains and a starter to share, not including drinks and other). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the chef took us through the Plat du Jour and detailed the ingredients of the dishes we were interested in.
We opted for the beef cheek croquettes which were just divine, followed by the monkfish - gloriously meaty, with a delicious herb sauce, buttery chanterelles, and red currants which all paired beautifully. I enjoyed it with a glass of Burgundy premier cru Chablis, followed by a delicately oaky Aligote. My partner had the Duck Magret, which came with roasted cubes of celeriac in a creamy mash.
The baguette with salted butter appetiser comes hot from the oven and worth ordering along with some starters, as our mains took 40 minutes to arrive.
The wine was excellent, perfectly served, and overall we had a very lovely evening at La Ferme. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely dinner. The food was delicious and the service is really good. The prices are a bit higher than average but you get good food and service. Gnocchi were out of this world - so delicious.
The atmosphere was lovely. We sat outside on a summer’s evening. The staff was friendly but a bit forgetful. I enjoyed the lemon touch in the mash. Oysters were fresh and the crème brûlée beautifully crisp top and deliciously decadent cream waiting underneath.
My favourite French restaurant and Champagne lounge located in lovely Primrose Hill!
Love the food, wine list and atmosphere!
A restaurant with a hidden gem of a champagne lounge upstairs, and I have frequently visited for brunch, lunch and dinner throughout 2018; and it never disappoints!
I recently booked for the 7 course special New Year’s Eve event they organised for myself and my in-laws.
The evening was beyond AMAZING! We had a glass of Champagne Deutz on arrival in the champagne lounge upstairs, followed by a wonderful 7 course dinner with matching wines throughout the evening. The restaurant was beautifully decorated (even more so than normal) to set the scene for the celebration .
The staff was brilliant, attentive, and made us feel incredible spoilt throughout the evening, and a 4 piece jazz band played us in to the new year! This was the most amazing New Year’s Eve celebration we have had, and a brilliant start to the new year!
We will certainly be back!
Local authentic French cuisine!!! Five stars for the fresh and delicious food 👍 Recommend foie gras, beef tartar and the duck confit!!! Please go here too if you love real French wines
Amazing experience, the food was excellent, the service felt like we were in a little restaurant in France. Davide, the chef, along with the rest of the staff provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all of us!
We will definitely come back soon!
I thought this restaurant only opened on 20th February 2018, so I'm not sure where all these reviews are from. Also Google mentions that it's a Tuscan restaurant, when it's 100% French cuisine. Nevertheless, I loved my visit to La Ferme in Primrose Hill.
There are 3 different menus to choose from for different budgets and occassions:
1. Menu du Ferme - small plates of classic French fair priced reasonably between £2 - £17 (for a sharing platter) - great to nibble on with a bottle or two.
2. Menu du Marché - a 3-course set menu that changes daily, depending on what's good in the market and what's in season and is mainly French classics and crowd pleasers.
3. Menu du Chef - is a 5-course fine dining menu priced at £39. The dishes are more unusual, but are well balanced and the quality of the produce is evident.
You can probably tell I had a bit from each one, but didn't regret it. They also have a great wine selection and a small upstairs champagne bar with low couches to lie on while sipping on a champagne aperitif.
One of our favourite restaurants in London - the food and service have been consistently amazing throughout our visits, and the terrace is lovely for the warmer days. Innovative, fresh and delicious food guaranteed here, for a reasonable price (£15/20 market menu for 2 or 3 dishes, £39 Chef Menu with 5 dishes) with a great wine list too. And probably the best bread we’ve ever had in London!
Such a lovely French restaurant in Primrose Hill! We stopped by for some drinks and nibbles - everything was perfect! Staff was smiling & kind, paying great attention to details! Drinks were delicious and service quick. We did not order food but saw some amazing dishes coming out of the kitchen 🙈...another visit is definitely needed here! We'll certainly be back and cannot recommend it more!
