Wonderful place, great staff who know their stuff and make some of the best coffee. The beans to takeaway always come with an interesting backstory and are delicious. We are very lucky to have you in East Finchley!
A great place for a coffee or picking up beans.
I like their policy of a few non prime seats where they allow laptops. This prevents prime tables from being monopolised by laptop squatters. One customer was ignoring the rules and was politely asked to move. The customer was rude, but the staff member remained polite and insistent. It was great to see the jerk storm off. Nice to have a shop take this stuff seriously.
The coffee is the best in the area and is made by serious baristas, not someone just pushing a button. Definitely try it out, but you have been warned that their laptop rule is enforced with a polite, but iron fist.
The kimchi toastie and the guacamole toastie were delicious, the lattes were also velvety rich. The wait wasn't too long for the food and we found the staff super friendly and helpful!
A hidden gem!
On a High Street full of chain coffee shops it's nice to have an speciality coffee shop that delivers. I go out of my way to visit!
First and foremost, you will find the best coffee in the region here. Staff is well mannered and very well trained.
The menu is limited but everything in it is very well thought and executed to perfection.
Always perfect coffee, super-friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. So lucky that this is our local cafe.
Good food and coffee for reasonable prices. Had the banana bread which was toasted with butter, which was nice (remember to use the jam!). Also had the avocado with smoked salmon, which was very good, but think the granola was actually the best! Try the filtered coffee as well.

Seating: Big space for only 26 seats with square tables and chairs, and bar stools. Obviously it is quite spacious and don't make you feel cramped even it is full. And they labelled 12 laptopper seats.

Ambience: Located in a side street, it is very calm and peace. With big glass window, simple decor style and less seats, it is very bright and has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Something Special About the Cafe:
(1) They restrict the seats for laptoppers with a label on the table, only 12 seats are allowed.
(2) As a coffee roaster, they source their own beans, do their own roast, and brew the coffee, so you could smell the aroma of coffee and try very fine coffee here.
Problems:
(1) With less seats and more space, you may feel it not that inviting and comfortable for a long stay;
(2) A good place for coffee and cakes but not many choices for lunch/brunch;
(3) Their closing time on weekdays is quite early.
