I stumbled across oasis this while trawling the sales. Wonderfully welcoming atmosphere thanks to friendly helpful staff and an eclectic range of comfortable furniture. Tempting range of sweet and savoury dishes. Pot of Earl Grey served with a generous plate of lemon slices although they are licensed too if you are so inclined. A great find I will definitely revisit.
Lovely relaxing breakfast with nice helpful staff. Best breakfast I've had in years just the right amount and lovely flavours and textures.
Lovely spacious place with nice decor and comfortable seats. Wide selection of fresh pastries, cakes and sweet treats. Coffee was delicious and perfectly served. Staff are friendly and provide quick service.
Have you ever tried to work in a cafe located in a furniture store? Sounds a little creepy, but sometimes that’s where surprises come from. Today I discovered a little lovely cafe in Heal’s on Tottenham Court Road.
London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-13
The Ambrose Cafe
Category: Cafe in Heal’s
WIFI: Reliable, Free to use
Seating: There are 20-25 tables with chairs and 5-6 lounges, 1 long tables with chairs and lamps. You could find some power sockets on the floor and on the walls near seats.
Ambience: The setting and decor are quite stylish, comfortable and relaxed. And the staff is lovely. The cafe looks like co-working friendly since they provide a space with table lamps and power points.
Cost:
Coffee £2.2-£3.8
Tea £3.0-£3.6
Fresh Juice £3.8-£4.5
Smoothies £5-£5.2
Beer & Wine are also provided
A little expensive than some other coffee shops
Something Special about the cafe:
(1) A cafe in a classy home & furniture store, the decor is quite homely and lovely.
(2) Fairly quiet even on weekends, and mostly people who do shopping in the store would find the place, so it is a kind of hideaway workspace.
Problems:
(1) The price of drinks are a little pricy compared with that in a normal coffee shop, especially hot chocolate and mocha.
(2) It is easy to be ignored and the customer service can be improved to match a cafe in such a classy store.
This is a nice Café with lovely details like the pretty mugs and a tiny cactus on the table :) I enjoyed the delicious carrot cake.
Love this place!! Iced Caramel Latte is yummy and their scones are always so fresh. A little on the pricier side but not terrible. The best part about this hidden cafe is it’s never crowded. Easily accessible outlets too, and very strong wifi.
Bit of a hidden secret and restaurant/cafe a wonderful escape location.
Delightful service and prices not Heals-crazy as one might expect.
Will send the kids to KFC and nip in here without telling them
I like the range of seating options, from school-table to deep sofa, with small and large group spaces, good light naturally and from the store, plus wifi. range of smoothies and juices is expensive for the results.
A delightful hidden gem of a cafe, great as both a working or relaxing space. Delicious selection of drinks and teas, and the service was wonderfully warm and friendly. Highly recommend!
Very nice place to sit down and enjoy a good lunch or cake. I ordered the ciabatta club, and it was so much bigger than expected! They gave me a doggy bag so I could take the rest of my plate home, so nice.
A secret getaway restaurant the locals would like to keep quiet. Hidden deep inside the wonderful furniture shop: Heals.
Randomly placed in a furniture store but was a lovely atmosphere! Great for a chat with friends and they have lots of food options.
They do lack a tad in vegan options but still a few!
