A genuine place with lovely very hardworking staff who make every effort to aid the customers meal an enjoyable one.
Will always return as we love buffets and there is plenty of choice.
Thanks to Ross our waiter and the guy who checked us in to have a choice of seating and my Birthday experience was so well done especially the staff singing Happy Birthday as they brought my cake to our table.
Many thanks

My first ever Toby Carvey experience! To be honest - I wasn't expecting THAT much from a chain, pub-grub style place but I was actually pleasantly surprised.
The building itself is pretty fancy-looking, and when we arrived we were greeted quickly. As we hadn't made a booking, we were told the wait would be around 30-40 minutes, but there's a nice bar area to wait in. A large glass of wine and a pint of lager came to around £8, which isn't too bad.
After waiting about 20mins, we were called to our table. We opted for the standard Sunday roast, and went to queue up for the carvery. The queue wasn't too long, and it took us less than 10mins to get to the front. (Obviously, I kept my wine with me during this time).
The meat portions we were carved did feel a little meagre, but the gammon and pork I opted for were really tasty. You can also load up your plate with as many roasties and veg (there's mash too) as it can take. The potatoes were slightly overdone, but the rest of the veg were great - and I really enjoyed the mint gravy. Just a shame they don't do lamb, eh?
We decided to splash out (cause hey, Sunday night) and order dessert too. I chose the profiteroles and they were great - big portion and filled with oozy cream. The only (super minor) niggle was that all the chocolate sauce was at the bottom of the dish.
They also had one of those SUPER COOL soft drink machines with lots of flavours. Vanilla Pepsi all the way!
A great place for an inexpensive Sunday roast - if you don't mind queuing for a bit to get your food.
Definitely cuisine any meat lover would die for...and the price is very reasonable...
A pub with character. A big car park if you're driving down. Usual carvery fare which. Can be hit and miss depending on how long the meat has been out. For dessert we had profiteroles which were delicious. Good hearty food after a walk in the local Wanstead park.
The food was good value, the atmosphere, ambiance and layout was very conducive to our enjoyment. I was a little surprised that cod and chips were not on the menu, as I am a pescatarian, but understand that I am in a minority. If you are not doing this already in selected branches, perhaps you could experiment with other fish or fake meat 'cost viable' options, to compliment the existing carbohydrates on offer. It might be nice to offer oat milk as well as regular milk. I think it has a longer shelf life as well.
first toby carvery i've been to in london, what a throw back. went large on the carvery roast.
the standout part for me was the beef dripping roast potatoes, i went back for seconds but sadly there weren't any. probably went a bit overboard with the mac n cheese
I was planning on visiting one of the Toby’s in London. I was a bit hesitant as I’m a vegetarian.
However, made up my mind to visit Snaresbrook Toby’s for Sunday breakfast.
Very convenient to walk from the tube station and ample parking space available.
The place itself was really impressive, I really liked the building, interior, cleanliness etc.
The breakfast spread was really good the usual Full English but unlimited! Requested for vegan sausage was served in less than 10 mins. The place was pretty white for a Sunday morning.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made my experience much more better!
The only thing missing was pancakes, I remember reading on the website and app that pancakes and syrup are served on Sundays. But couldn’t find it or maybe I was too hesitant to ask for it!
Looking forward to visit for lunch or dinner sometime soon!
Highly recommended!
What’s going on with this place? It used to be higher star average. It’s slipping. I used to only ever come here, passed 2 other Toby’s just to get here. Cos yes it’s the same food but it tastes so much better here, cos the chefs are happier here. Or used to be???? Please keep your chefs happy! It makes the food taste better. Please go back to being better.
The mid week offer is amazing,we had carvery, drinks and a desserts for £27!!!!!The waitress(Irish,a beauty looks like Adele)was delightful and even refused a bigger tip we offered(unheard of!)A credit to this restaurant. The chefs were very nice too.
All in all a surprising (for good reasons)experience.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and this time it was no different. Our drinks order was taken soon after we arrived and there was no queue for the carvery so we got our food straight away too. We recently switched from being regulars at the Toby Carvery Woodford Green and we wouldn't switch back as Snaresbrook is the nicer of the two restaurants when you take into account the food, ambiance and layout of the restaurant.
Absolutely lush. The service was great and the food was delicious. I love the old pub setting it had such a lovely cosy vibe to it. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. First time going but it won't be the last.
Traditional roast dinner(make sure you bring your appetite) parking on sight but it is not free . Friendly staff and outside tables for sunny days.
Absolutely amazing service, the staff are welcoming and friendly with smiles all around. The food is splendid with great variety.
Met up with friends here - first time to this Toby carvery. Staff all friendly and helpful. The carvery meats were all fresh and delicious at 3pm with a good choice of vegs. My veggie daughter enjoyed her maccie cheese. Look forward to another visit.
