The best book shop in London lethal after payday and the cafe on the top floor is very good worth a check out
Books, books, books and on top a wonderful cafe which is a good place to relax ;-) friendly staff all over the store - a.visit worth every time when I am in London. Thx a lot ;-)
Very much enjoyed the ambience of this cafe at the top floor of Foyles. Everyone was either reading or chatting without disturbing each other. I usually went here after browsing some books below and reading for about an hour. The lightings are pretty convenient for reading.
During my time here, I got to try their coffee and cake. The coffee was good, it didn't upset my stomach, really. Sad interpretation from a coffee amateur, I know. The cake selections were interesting enough. I once tried a cake with lemon and coconut, which turned out to be delicious. Overall, super recommended if you're looking for a stopover and get warm before you go on with commuting or traveling around central.

The Cafe is a great place to enjoy a cup of tea or a coffee anytime of the day. It is also a fantastic place to study, work or read because everyone stays quiet and there's a lot of natural light. Also, the staff at the cafe is nice, polite, always willing to help and smiling all the time. I went there a couple of times and really had a great time. But if this review was only about those great times I would give it 5 stars right? Yes. But the problem is the last time I went there. I decided to have lunch there. I was happy with my food - delicious and healthy, btw (a little bit expensive, but worth it) - eating in a table with other people, while working on my computer. But out of nowhere, a guy, who seemed to be the cafe manager or something like that, went to my table and said that I had to unplug my computer. I asked why and he, rudely, said, almost shouting, "Because someone can fall. If that happens it would be your fault not mine, okay?". There's always a lot of computer plugged there, because everyone is working, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. Obviously after that I unplugged it but I felt so irritated by the way he spoke to me I had to leave. The guy was really rude. He could have explained that to
me in a nice way. I am really disappointed with that.

Got a lovely break from browsing books at the cafe, enjoying my time with tea and cake, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how quite everyone was allowing all to read and relax easily. The only unpleasant part were a good amount of flies lingering on the food on display and traveling to the nearby tables, thing that made me revalued the possibility of going back there. Will check next time I'm around to see if they solved the issue.

The new Foyles Bookshop Cafe is a more than welcome stop on my wander round London today... A great sandwich, friendly faces, actively communal tables (book people are friendly, but not chatty - more a knowing smile between kindred souls), smooth coffee and free wifi! Now I'm off to spend way too much time, and maybe money, downstairs in the Food and Drink department... I may be sometime...
What a pleasure to have a break between two books! This is what Foyles is about: one of the largest bookstores in London. On the first floor, a cafe offers a selection of pastries, teas and sandwiches in a friendly space: tables and wooden benches to share, jazzy music, free wifi, micro stage for sessions on some nights. A great place to escape from the bustle of Leicester Square!
The best bookshop in London and probably the UK. Fantastic displays and choices of all kinds of subjects. Helpful staff, nice cafe, and always willing to find that unusual book (they will find another bookstore where it is available). Could spend hours in here. Must visit.
Recently took a trip to London and I just had to have a visit. Wasn’t too crowded and had a very vast selection of books. I was also very impressed with the amount of Korean books available. The cafe was also a cute place to hang out for a bit. Wish we had a Foyles in the North :)
This is such a wonderful place for bookies. I love to be greeted by „Welcome book lover, you are among friends“. Immediately feeling at home.
Every area is extensive, including the comics & manga space: a favorite of mine 🤗.
Had to ask for help and the book I was looking for wasn’t in stock. What was not really a problem for me, but for Foyles employee… he was so sorry! Great customer focus and centricity!
I haven’t tried the cozy cafe but it looked amazing. And it is fully integrated into the shop, surrounded by books!
Huge bookstore. Like a department store for literature. They highlight recent novels and trending books right by the bottom of the staircase which i think is pretty cool. Also pretty sure there's a cafe upstairs. You can find anything in here and i think it is laid out pretty easily but its not difficult to get lost!
Love this library a lot. So far my favorite in London. Their manga section is beautiful.
Also spent some time in their cafeteria and tried their hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and the scons with jam and it was all delicious. I will definitely go back to try other things as well 🤤.
I have never been to such a big bookshop like this, with every book I could think of, available for me. I stayed here for hours, discovering more and more books that I would love to buy. The best part is they even have a foreign language section on the top floor, with books in their original languages. The staff are also so friendly, super helpful and efficient. If you are short of time and want to grab a book without having to worry if you’d find it; look no further. Just make a stop at Foyles and you won’t be disappointed.
I love this place. Every time I go, I find more than I was looking for. It's crowded and quiet. I went to look for books that I was curious about cooking on the boat, and I found amazing books. Moreover, it made me feel lucky to be able to read the story of the first person to climb Everest from his son.
The shop is very neat and clean. It's well stocked, it has many options and subjects to choose from. Prices vary depending on the subject and category, but they are fair. Staff is very attentive and friendly, but sometimes there is no one at the till to serve customers on the languages books section. Maybe it is not as popular as the music section where there are always staff serving. There is a cafe, some seats in some sections of the book shop and a super beautiful space dedicated to children. Very near to Tottenham Court Road station and Oxford Street. It's a fairly big shop and I'm sure if you go, you will be spending some nice time.
(W & G Foyle ltd,)Foyles is a bookseller with a chain of seven stores in England. It's best known for its flagship store in Charing Cross Road, London. Foyles was once listed in the Guinness book of records as the worlds largest bookshop in terms of shelf length at 30 miles (48km) and number of titles on display. It was bought by Waterstones in 2018
On the top floor (5th) is a splendid café with a nice range of snack food and beverages. The café tables were quite busy and I felt that although the café is quite spacious. It was very much in need of some more tables and floor space to help accommodate the hungry aficionados .
What a gorgeous bookshop! Full to the brim with books of all types across 6 floors - including a whole area dedicated to kids on the lower mezzanine level. We spent 2 hours in here after spending a small fotune going to the London Aquarium - and yet this was so much more fun for my 8 year old girl! Would recommend to all parents, teens and adults alike - they even have a cafe on the 5th floor...
