Fountain And Ink

Visited for lunch with work colleagues after a team meeting. Not busy so had a choice of tables. Service was good apart from the kitchen forgetting one of my colleagues burgers (but he did get a free drink while he waited). I had padron peppers and salt & pepper squid and both were delicious - not 'hot' peppers though!

Really great Thursday evening at Fountain & Ink, DJ set the atmosphere really well and we were look after by a lovely chap named James, and as weird of a recommendation this is, all the food was glorious! But our personal favourite were the Frickles! It’s a must try all round! Thanks for a lovely evening

We visited a bit later in the evening on a Friday night. Had a night out vibe for sure. It wasn’t the food that made me write a review, it was a staff member named Jesse that stood out to us! She was very attentive to us when we couldn’t get the attention of our own waitress for something. Even working the bar and not our waitress, she put the effort towards getting our check paid and coming to our table to split them per person’s order. The most important thing was she was the FIRST person we came across since arriving in London that smiled when greeting us or speaking to us. So important for customer service. Thank you for making our late night visit worthwhile 🤩

Further update: revisited as promised and this is a great bar! Staff with personality. Burger was as it looked - marvellous. Whisky selection was all there - I had the Asiago and picked out another obscure one. Lovely ambience. Golf clap to the team running this place 👏 Edit: Upgraded to 5 stars given the response and will go check it out to see if the Port Askaig is indeed available now. Might have one of those good looking burgers too :-) Original: Friendly place and the burgers looked good coming out of the kitchen but have to put in a low score because of the whisky! Beautiful back drop to the bar area and a really interesting collection of whiskies from around the world - but they can’t sell them to you as they’re not set up on the system! So a pleasant place to enjoy an after-work frustration-filled drink 🙃

On our first day in London, we picked the Fountain and Ink fairly at random, as we were looking for a pub-food experience. This was definitely no disappointment, as the food was prepared with extreme care and tastes deliciously. We also liked the ambience. In addition, when there was a little issue with our order, the management went out of their way to make us feel at home and well taken care of.
