It actually turned out to be better than expected. The afternoon tea that we pre-booked was lovely. But it is just a cafe. Not a posh setting. Clean and tidy and the sandwiches and cake were lovely.

We really loved it, after 3 pm, cake & tea is only at 5 pound. The vegan brownie was perfect ! Thank you

Lovely spot for lunch. Limited choice but hard to choose. Really scrumptious lunch with a glass of red. Polite and helpful service

We had afternoon tea at The Southwark Cathedral Cafe when we visited London in 2018, and we can't wait to go back when we visit again this Christmas. The environment was quaint and quiet and the tea, sandwiches, scones and cake were just lovely. This place is a hidden gem, tucked near the Thames in a quiet alcove, creating a refuge from the busy city surrounding it. I also love the fact that the cafe supports keeping the cathedral open. Prices are modest and the food is wonderful. I highly recommend this cafe!

The Southwark Cathedral Cafe is amazing. Cannot get enough of their cakes and pastries. My favourite is the sourdough bread and cinnamon buns! Would definitely recommend trying those when you go.

Great venue for meetings. Some power points available. Wide range of pastries and coffee. Full English breakfast. My favourite lunch is the sausage roll with a variety of side salads. Toilets are clean and easy to find. Prices reasonable. Highly recommend.

My friend and I came here after a three hours walk and we were dying for some tea and scones. We arrived about 30 min before closing time but that was no problem. We each got our tea and scones and a good rest. We really liked the setting which made us feel quite at ease.

I love this place and return here, time after time! Great for hot food on a winter's day and afternoon tea in the courtyard in the summer sun. The staff are friendly and the range of food is quite wide and affordable. The Gluten Free cake is scrummy and I also recommend the Orange and Lavender Cake, which sounds bonkers but very delicious.
