We organised baby shower for our friend. We chose Pope Street pub and don’t regret it. Amazing atmosphere, they let us in before opening to decorate the table. Great atmosphere, lovely and polite staff. Drinks and food to die for. I can’t say enough to thank all staff. Definitely more parties to come.
We went to celebrate my graduation and so glad we picked Pope Street. They gave me a complimentary cocktail of my choice. The staff were so friendly and all took time to congratulate me. It was very busy in there, every table full, but they were still attentive to all our needs. Food is banging, and all served nice and hot.. I had a Korean burger 👍👍. Starters were all lovely too. And I didn’t think it too expensive, although cost of things is subjective. I will defo go again. Great vibe, great friendly staff, and great food. Win win. Thank you Pope Street for making my celebrations special 😊😊 xxx
Not quite Eltham, not quite Sidcup so great to have a stand out bar to frequent. Great cocktails, good food and friendly staff, what more could you ask for?!
Went for a meal with friends. This place hits the sweet spot between pub and restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere, food was great and the drinks kept coming. We didn't leave until we had no choice but to leave!
Alex waited on me and was a star....the chef produced spectacular food and need praise. The Korean wings and beef stew were quite simply amazing. Hats off to Pope Street you nailed it for a discerning foodie. Craft beer was also 10/10
We came for my birthday lunch with 9 adults and three toddlers. We've never been before but we will definitely come back again! Harry looked after us from start to finish and everything was so quick coming to the table. Importantly, everything was delicious, we tried almost all the starters and everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. All the mains that we had were huge portions and the flavours were incredible, the Korean BBQ burger deserves a shout-out as something unique and just exquisite! The chef was also extremely attentive and came out a few times to chat and ensure everything was going well. An exceptionally personal and fantastic service that made the whole experience so so good! Thank you to everyone at Pope Street!

This is a lively pub with a good atmosphere although it is a bit noisy. If the weather is good, there are seats outside where it is a little quieter. They serve a good range of beers and wine and the food is of good quality. The service is not great however. I was standing at the bar waiting to be served and a member of staff was standing behind the bar doing nothing at all, but totally ignored me. The other staff were busy however. Situated on Footscray Road which used to be called Pope Street, hence the pub name. Worth a visit but you might need to book before you go.
We had a lovely low key night out on Friday. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. Drinks were delish too. The pub was buzzing so was on louder side that day so sometimes hard to hear conversations.
Towards the end however the service wound down and had to wait a while for the bill and then to pay it. Overall a nice experience and definitely looking forward to returning.
The AC was perfect for a hot day. The service very friendly. But nothing beats their Sunday roast with delicious potatoes, legumes, wonderful source, and airy and crunchy Pope Yorkshire pudding.
Great selection of draft beer too.
