Went in for a late lunch today and the menu as always had changed again - don't know how long this one will be around for but in the brunch menu was huevos ranchos with black beans and salsa which I had and a delicious Mediterranean omlette with delicious hints of smoked paprika and rose petals for my hubbie 10/10 not to mention a lovely buzzing pub with adults, kids and a few dogs. Really worth a visit - just behind the big Tescos near Streatham Common.
Love this place! Duncan and his staff are hospitable and friendly. Food never disappoints. Lucky to have this gem on our doorstep.
Best pub food I've had in a long time! I almost don't want to say that so it doesn't get too popular! I have been there twice and not experienced screaming children a few dogs which they are more than happy for. They said as long as there are more people than dogs they don't mind! The staff are so friendly and helpful, even exchanging a bottle for a new better one (at the cheaper price) when we thought the one we ordered was corked (they assured us that was how it was meant to be).
Great local pub. This place has a friendly atmosphere, and a good place to have a local drink. They have a good choice of drinks and the food is well above average.
We are fortunate to have this on our doorstep.
Hidden Gem. The Earl Ferrers has undergone a spectacular transformation. A great local pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We locals just love it! Excellent food!
I am sure this hidden gem will not remain hidden for long!
Food Glorious Food. The Earl is a well kept secret. Great Food and a really warm friendly atmosphere. Kids are more than welcome.
Real ale is served alongside a wide variety of wines
Sunday lunch is my favourite!
Love this place. Came here a lot during 2018 and 2019. Hadn't been here since 2020 (no idea why), but on popping in again in 2023 it was still brilliant.
Music is great in the Earl Ferrers, Service is outstanding, Guinness is very good. Food is lovely (I had the chicken roast). Always friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the little walk off the main street.
Quirky, interesting pub that has live music on some nights and a lovely old jukebox.
a somewhat quirky pub with fun decor. Set back from the high street with more of a "locals" or "in the know" kind of vibe going on. Great music and even an old juke box. Good range of beers and friendly welcome from the team. Surprisingly large area of outdoor seat, although more than half of it was reserved, so presumably a popular pub locally. I was visit Streatham, so not familiar with the place but would love to go back.
What a pub! Full of atmosphere, good food and beer! Staff is also very friendly.
Great!
With so many small pubs closing down these days I am so happy to see that this little gem has survived. I used to live very close by then when i moved away i really missed it so very much.
The staff are all very friendly but The Earl Ferrers would not be the same without its amazing Landlord. He is always smiling, is an amazing cook but most of all has a wealth of knowledge behind the bar and has introduced me too many fine spirits and invented some fantastic cocktails.
When it comes to food this is where the pub really earns its reputation. The squid for starters was served perfectly with their own take on crispy seaweed and the squid lightly fried coming out perfect it is a dish which will definitely leave you wanting more.
For main course i highly recommend the Jerk Chicken Salad. Most pubs serve Jerk Chicken and get it wrong....this pub serves it right full of robust flavours, just enough spice to make it authentic with great flavours throughout which doesn't blow your head off menaing those who do not like spice can still enjoy it.
For dessert being summer there was only one decision and it was the Eton Mess which was a nice way to finish a fantastic meal. The cream was fresh with homemade meringue, beautiful strawberries and layers of fruity flavours throughout i actually didnt want it to end.
All in all this pub caters for everyone and is not to be missed, i will definitely return again to Londons best family, dog friendly little local
An absolute gem of a pub! Both staff and customers are wonderful, and being greeted by Duncan's smile is a highlight :)
It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth the walk from Streatham High Street. It's a proper old pub with brilliant jam sessions on Tuesday nights. The only downside is that they have to stop serving at 11pm on Tuesdays.
One of Streatham’s best/worst kept secrets! Love it in there, as I’m guaranteed to bump into a mate or three each time I pop in.. *)
Found this little gem behind the high road. Managed to find a pretty rare bourbon (Eagle Rare) and didnt have to pay that much either for it. Very laid back place
This is a great pub for a good pint and the music here’s excellent! I’ve seen some amazing bands play her and joined in on a few jam sessions. Great people and the locals are really sound. The landlords alright too
