The Castle - London - Photo album

Lovely pub right next to Chapel Market in Islington. We sat on the wonderful rooftop as it was a really nice sunny day. The place was not too busy and we were able to enjoy some peace from the nearby busy centre. Staff are nice, you have to order at the counter. We had a beef sunday roast and vegan
I live In Washington DC and love a good roast dinner. I was visiting London and after a lot of research decided to give this place a try for roast. I was blown away with the high level of service, amazing food and atmosphere. The owner is very much involved in the operation which is a great sign. He
Great food! Amazing roast. A great place to enjoy the sun on the outdoor area. We will be back yum!
Food was especially great. I'd highly recommend the Fish and Chips (The chips fell a bit flat though, could've been fresher). The Gin+Tonics were eye-wateringly over-priced, think pricey, and add £5. Above-average London prices on most drinks. The Terrace was nice in the sun, but can get very overcr
Great place for a drink. Brilliant atmosphere Chloe and Bella are hilarious behind the bar. Amy has the best recommendations and I appreciate Liam's effort to accommodate the party I was with. Top class team.
Sunday roast, 28 day aged beef. Lovely pub, traditional furnishings, roof terrace, well looked after. Friendly staff. Food was lovely, fabulous cut of beef. HUGE yorkshires, and slightly more up market presentation and delivery (£20). All round great roast, absolutely recommend. Big portion, horsera
Last minute stop for something to eat after going to Sadlers Wells Theatre. Lovely welcome, staff were very helpful friendly but professional, food, Sunday roast beef, was gorgeous, would definitely recommend.
We went to The Castle last Saturday night to watch a rugby World Cup game, our table was in the rain and Ciara (the pub manager) went above and beyond to make sure we were moved to a table inside with a view of the TV screen and were compensated with a round of free drinks. Her hospitality was one o
Good location and spacious multi level pub. We were on the roof terrace as it was a glorious October afternoon. Good drinks selection and good service. Only slight gripe was that the bar for the terrace wasn't open so a bit of a drag down and up with drinks. Likely not a problem normally at this tim
Really lovely Sunday roast and managed to have a gluten free roast too which was delicious! The manager (not sure what his name was, just know he was from Cyprus!) and the waiter were so accommodating with my allergy. Love it here so much and so happy to live just around the corner!
