The Kings Head

Great place for a Sunday roast. Wife and I haven’t had a roast in a very long time so it was important to that the food was on point. And I’m happy to say this place didn’t let us down. We both ordered the Chicken roast. Food is full of flavour and left a memorable taste. Alina was our waitress. She was very helpful and just felt she always wanted to go the extra mile.

I hired The Green Room for my Mum's wake. I called into the Kings Head unexpectedly and Christian responded very positively to my request to have a look at the space. Lucy could not have been more helpful in supporting me with making the arrangements regarding setting up the space and ordering the food. On the day, Nell and Lucy created a welcoming space and were very flexible in accommodating our special requests. The food was wonderful - our guests were very complimentary about the quality of the food and particularly their vegan dishes. I highly recommend this space for any celebration and would definitely hire it again.

The team were amazing from start to finish. Lucy handled the booking for 24 people in the upstairs room- and all the logistics on the day. She was friendly, professional and patient. Basically couldn’t have done any more for us. Thanks to Jimmy for taking over for the evening slot. Can’t thank you all enough for making our day so good.

Lunch was very good, nothing to fault, other than noted that other tables were a little frustrated as there was a shortage of serving staff, and they had to collect their own cutlery from the benches. However, it was relatively busy and the staff were doing their best. Second visit.... Good atmosphere, very busy from 12.30 on. Food very good although the chicken ballotin was not what was expected. Was more like sausage meat stuffing in a broth... rather than a whole portion of chicken so somewhat disappointed. But would not choose it again.
