As others have said, a ‘proper’ unpretentious pub on Regents Canal - midway between King’s Cross basin and Camden Lock. If you’re looking for gastro standard food and 10 craft ales on draught, then this isn’t for you. If you want a light, airy pub, a great beer garden, a big screen showing sport, a pool table and reasonably-prices drinks, then this is perfect. A mix of regulars and passing-trade, like us - service was friendly and we enjoyed our drink break. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Lovely crowd, great staff ... great selection of bar snacks... guys playing darts while music on telly, comedy club going on downstairs (where we were) Overall brilliant! Loved it
A great, rough and ready pub. Right alongside Regent's Canal so if you're a strolling from pub to pub along the canal it makes a great stopping point. Good beer garden (though it does get packed on rare occasions when the sun shines) and an okay selection of drinks at reasonable prices makes this place appealing. It's very rough around the edges and gets packed when there's football on but it is a nice break from the more pretentious and hipster establishments nearby!
