Nice resto, very reasonable prices. Super good customer service. I guess the only missing thing is that I had fresher sashimi in Asia in the past, but that might be too big of an ask. Still a good place to visit

The Japanese food is very good. The fish is fresh. Surprisingly, japanese place has coffee and it's very very good.
The only some kind of issue is old English pub interior I guess inherited, but I'm sure new owners will change it along the time.

Been living in the area for couple of years and Akari was my local’s. Always come back when I’m visiting London, it’s worth it. Affordable and tasty Japanese food with no non-sense fusion or whatever. Authentic place with nice staff and plenty of Asian customers, which says it all. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely love the food here, so much variety and good vibes. Love the Victorian pub interior. They recently came out with a few new menu items that are really nice. The staff members are also excellent and so knowledgeable.

Japanese restaurant meets British pub. Recently simplified and condensed menu of Japanese sushi classics with an occasional British twist. Delightful food in terms of taste, presentation and combos. Japanese beers on tap is a nice touch. Ambitious yet not overbearing restaurant, you'll walk away happy.

Very good selection of small Japanese plates - had the house maki, sautéed morning glory, and pork belly. Was pleased with the attentive service, pleasant ambiance, friendly manager/kitchen staff, and rich flavours of the food. All in all a great Japanese dinner spot, set in a unique Victorian setting - for sure worth a try!

Went with friends and family had an excellent relaxed meal. Friendly staff and good service. Food beautifully prepared and great tempura. Octopus was very good and the wasabi had a real well above average kick. (Be excited or be warned!)
