Cartel Battersea

Not a great choice in the food menu... but.... all there is there is very good and the service is attentive too. Inexpensive, I would highly recommend it for a cheap and cheerful night out with friends. Decor is Mexican canteen, as basic as it gets, but it works beautifully for the space and the food served. Would definetely go back.

Very chilled and fun atmosphere. A mixture of intimate candle lit tables for 2-4 people but also much larger spaces to accommodate a party of 10+. Staff were welcoming, polite and attentive. They altered some of the dishes to make them vegan friendly! I would highly recommend the sweet potato taco. The portions appear small but they are most definitely filling, we were stuffed by the time we left. Will 100% be returning!

Don’t know what the drinkers of Battersea did when they wanted a cool cocktail before Cartel turned up. Amazing agave cocktails in a chilled environment, complete with thoroughly tasty food, and banging bar staff. No wonder it’s fast become a neighbourhood favourite. Try the prawn tacos and the Mezcal Old Fashioned 👌🏼

Good mexican food and drinks. Waiter was nice. We visited on a Monday evening and were the only diners. I could see that they had a few takeaway order too. It may be worth looking into a locals night or taco tuesday night for example to get more traffic during the week which in turn would encourage people to come at the weekends. When walking past it doesnt look inviting in a restaurant is empty.
