Bull And Gate

I had my wedding reception at the bull and gate. We had the upstairs boulagne bar and the downstairs dining room to ourselves. I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting an affordable venue for a London based wedding. Drazen and his team at the B & G are superb and delivered on everything they promised. The dining room looked amazing and they were extremely efficient at getting the food out to guests. Drazen was close by all day to deal with any queries or issues, putting myself and my wife completely at ease. The day was running slightly late as our photographs took longer than expected but Drazen and his team were so accommodating and adapted the day there and then to ensure my wife and I got time with our guests before dining. They were also superb at accommodating external people such as the photographer and the band. All of our guests were very complimentary of the staff and venue. You will struggle to find a more professional team to deliver a big event like this in London. Whether it is a wedding, work event or something else, I would strongly recommend enquiring about what the Bull and Gate could put together for you.

I was booking for a large group which is usually a bit more complicated to manage, but the team at the Bull & Gate were amazing & sorted it out so easily. They had all kinds of different options from hiring out the separate bars, to just reserving us a big space in the main pub so I could pick the right option for my group. Lots of the group hadn’t been here before & they all loved the food & the chilled atmosphere. Lovely staff, really good food, amazing old building… couldn’t ask for more really :)

Came upon this beautiful place whilst waiting for my daughter who was attending a concert at O2 Forum Kentish Town. From the front you see a pub but out the back is a beautiful restaurant area also. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They allowed me to sit and wait for my daughter for several hours. I had the charcuterie board to myself (I was very hungry!) and sticky toffee pudding. Both delicious and good portions. Highly recommend this little gem, perfect if you are heading to the O2 Forum.

Chanced upon this pub for dinner as we needed a place to eat before attending a concert at the O2 next door. Easy to say this is the best fish and chips I’ve had in London! We also ordered the sausages and mash which were infused with ale and the Mac and cheese! All were absolutely yummy but we still loved the beer battered cod best! The interior was rustic and eclectic too, loved it!

We celebrated our wedding reception recently at this pub. We had a fantastic day, everything went as planned. The staff were attentive and punctual with the dinner service, the food was tasty, a range of dietary requirements were catered for and numerous guests said they had a wonderful time. No one left hungry, which made our day. Special thanks to Sophie for her planning efforts and regular commuication. We'd certainly recommend this pub for a special event (or just a nice place for a drink or two).

Don't judge a book by its cover here folks! That's what my travelling companion learned as he mistakenly thought the Bull & Gate was an "old man's pub". We had been looking for a stop off before a gig at the O2 forum and I was pleasantly surprised by the accessibility of the Bull & Gate for gig goers. The staff were friendly and the entire atmosphere of the pub was great. I would assume this would change depending on the event at the forum however the change would certainly be for the good. A massive shout out to 2 of the staff. There was a lovely girl who served us on night one who had went out of her way to make up cocktails that had not been on the menu. She was extremely friendly and willing to learn how to make the cocktail based on the ingredients I had suggested. Night 2 we had a brilliant lad who chatted with us for a bit as we played the various games on offer in the seated lounge area. He was very warm and welcoming whilst also suggesting further additions to the games to make them more entertaining. Overall 10/10 experience and we would certainly visit again.

Love this spot! We’ve come in a few times and always love the food and service, but recently brought my whole family from out of town and had the best time. The manager/owner(?) is just lovely and all of the food was fantastic. We love the chicken and the pork belly, but the cauliflower cheese always steals the show! My vegan sister and her husband were thrilled at having multiple options and both the Wellington and nut roast were delicious, even to the meat eaters. This spot will definitely be a regular in our Sunday rotation and we look forward to coming in on other evenings too.
