The duke of candle is a great local pub with a great selection of drinks, great food and a wonderful staff. Highly recommended for a pint or a meal

A characteristics Pub, the bear it's really good, the atmosphere relaxed, enjoy a sunny day outside, there are to many table and chair in the sidewalk.

Spontaneously grabbed a quick drink here one sunny evening and saw other tables ordering pizzas that looked really good. The menu only really had a plain tomato and garlic pizza suitable for vegans but we thought we'd try it anyway so went in to double check about the base and the chef came out and said he'd make something bespoke. And it was the best pizza we've had in ages - generous with the veg, not too oily, light and airy base. Many thanks to that chef!

Went here a couple times on our recent trip to London (March 2022). Had dinner on our first night in town and beers on another night. Very nice staff, good food. First night one of their regulars was playing piano and next visit they were having a trivia game night. Great local pub, lots of fun. Will visit again when we get back to London.

A lovely traditional English pub, with extraordinary interior mixed with historical pictures and old antiques, it’s quite famous place for it’s Thai food, just turned in for a drink with my friends and we had a great service, A+++

A little gem in Connought village in the heart of London. Welcoming staff, nice selection of beers minimalist decor. We had Sunday roast, not one of my favourites, but there are plenty other alternative options in menu.

in my first experience in England, London, this pub is authentic, pleasant atmosphere at matches, cozy place, and Gino is wonderful

This pub has such a unique and cozy atmosphere! The man who played the piano is just unique and amazing! So talented! Baked Camembert was good, BIT please add more jam! Otherwise it’s a bit oily without it. Drinks were good as well, but a bit strong haha

Here at the end of a sunny London Sunday @8 in the evening. Local pub with interesting selection of small plates, mains. Weekend brunch and Sunday roast. On Sundays a singalong with piano of pre-WWII classics which everyone in the front of the pub sings with skill and gusto. No where could be more English!! Pianist very skill with interesting arrangements. Featured soloists as well.
