I lived two minutes walk from here for seven years and I had never managed to try Gus's restaurant. The quality of his fish n' chips is very high, the batter of the haddock and the cod was extremely light and perfectly distributed.
Gus is an amazing host who knows how to steal a smile from his customers. Highly recommended.

My friend and I attend every months for our Fish and Chip date, I love the fish and chips the batter is nice and crispy and the fish is the perfect size. The owner and his wife are always super friendly.

Been here twice, 3 years apart and I can still say this is the best fish and chips place in all of London! The owner was friendly and welcoming. The fish fresh and chips crispy. Hope to be back in the next 3 years too!

Fabulous fish & chips. Gus delivers great customer service with a smile. Gets every order spot on. Haven’t seen Rock Salmon on the menu for quite some time. Good portion and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended. Delicious!

Definitely a top spot for classic fish and chips. We visited on a mid-afternoon Saturday so we nearly had the place to ourselves. Made for a very personal experience with ownership. Great people!
We had a lunch special classic cod with chips and drink, a large skin on haddock, and a side of mushy peas.
Both pieces of fish were Perfect, light and crispy batter on the outside and flakey on the inside. So fresh and hot!
The wife said the mushy peas were really good as well. I won't touch the things. LOL
I would have given it a five star rating had the chips been better. Classic size and wonderful tender inside but the problem was the outside, not crispy.

Far and away the best fish & chip shop in the area, perhaps London! Light batter that stays on the fish, chips that balance light fluffiness with the perfect fry. Growing up in Scotland, I never understood the obsession with skinny fries... Long live the chip! Hooray for Fish Lounge!
