We popped in here to feed my baby and have a cup of coffee after our visit from the Tate. Service was fast. Liked the cakes we tried but coffees were average. It is nice athmosphere though.
Average coffee, chain shop just behind the Tate modern.
They have a very big choice of pastries but at 10am they had already finished the granola/porridge.
Chocolate was ok, although it said it was mostly milky, it tasted more like dark chocolate. Good choice of seats.
Really impressed with the pastry and tasty coffee I got. Strange that there was not an americano on the menu and the coffee I got only filled about two thirds of the cup, but it was delicious either way. This place was crowded on a Saturday morning. No real seating to be found inside so just took this to go. The coffee crumble cake was delicious, but probably needed a plate and fork, as I made a mess of myself walking down the street eating it. If I lived in London, I would definitely return to this spot and try some of the other offerings.
The best cinnamon roll I’ve ever tasted!! The cheddar scone is also amazing!
Quick lunch at this branch for the first time , nice place with friendly staff .
Coffee is nice and we had the salmon bagels and a sausage roll both very tasty and freshly made.
The place was fairly busy and we didn't have to wait to be served so definitely recommend it 😃👍.
I have been a regular customer of Gail's for like more than a year, and I can definitely tell that the pastry whether it is savory or sweet is just amazing. They are all fresh and daily made, and I tried almost all of them which were scrumptious. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. They treat me quite well, and I do my best to have a smiling face as well because obviously they are working hard and need appreciating. Hence five stars for the lovely staff and food.
Located behind the Tate gallery. Ground floor of a residential complex. Bright and clean bakery brassiere. Amazing selection of pastries and breads and light lunch menu. Coffee is from Union. Recommend stop if you're visiting the Tate or millennium bridge south side.
I like this location of Gail’s. It has a cosy feel.
Their baked goods options are versatile but the consistency is not great, last time I was there the crustless pie was way too salty and the coffee wasn’t great. I hope they enhance their quality control.
Nonetheless, it’s a good place for a nice brunch.
Absolutely love this place. From fabulous bread, pastries, breakfast, coffee to great lunch, the place excels. Very friendly and super attentive staff that just make the place very welcoming. A nicely decorated cafe with window seats looking out the Tate Modern. Highly recommended!
Popular, high quality and cute cafe and light lunch spot. They always meet expectations, and this particular location is no different. Set in the leafy Holland Street it’s a particular nice venue. They do a hot made to order menu and then a counter of sandwiches and sweet goods. Teas are also very good.
