Fab reasonably priced food, fab staff and lovely atmosphere. I'm not a pub person as I'm a non drinker but I think I've found my new favourite place in Greenwich after years of wandering past!
Great place to drink, the new managers are great. Before January I wouldn't dream going there without being verbally abused by the old staff. They hated female presence in there, now I can have drink with my girl friends. The place also looks so much more inviting
Great pub full of fun! Lots of different entertainment to keep you entertained but also, the staff is thoughtful and friendly, keeping you well looked after.
Loved visiting this cute gay pub that houses a bit of cinematic history, it played a role in Beautiful Thing. The food and service were delightful, a great place to rest and recharge after taking in Greenwich.
I frequent this pub often. It hosts a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The team are incredibly friendly and your always greeted with a smile. Michael is a great member of the team. Always helpful, conversational and friendly, introducing new comers to some of the regulars. The food menu is good - something light or more hearty. I would definitely recommend this bar and their drag shows/entertainment calendar.
There once was a pub where the drag show was grand,
At the Ye Olde Rose & Crown, in Greenwich so bland.
They sang Les Champs-Elysees with such glee,
It filled my heart with joy and set my soul free.
Life is good, and I am so blessed,
To have experienced the very best.
Went for drag bingo - had the best time! Served by Cory, made us feel right at home. Miss Isles was hilarious. Definitely coming back!!
Came here today for a swift pre weekend drink and nibble and really enjoyed ourselves. The service was warm and friendly, our food arrived promptly and the beyond meat burger I had was hot, filling and delicious (and I’m not a vegetarian). Good pint too. Will be coming here again.
Friendly staff, great beer choices and fish & chips were spot on.
What a fantastic place! Found it by accident, but when we saw the menu, we settled in! Staff are lovely and so helpful. But when the food came, it blew us away! We all had the Steak & Ale Pie with beautiful crumbly and light pastry, thick-cut chips were to die for, and the merlot beef dripping gravy was out of this world!
Followed by cocktails! Wow! We had 2 of the Salty Caramelicious and a Blood Orange Spritz. If we didn't have to get the boat back, we still would have been there.
Absolutely Divine!!
The pale ale there is really good with fish and chips.
Lovely staff, the food & beer were really good too. Recommended for any tourist that need a bite to eat.
