Was well impressed with Il Bacio. Can't argue with a buy one get one free Tastecard deal for 2 top quality pizzas. Treated to a lesser spotted Ichnusa lager too. In previous reviews people have complained about the service and then praised the authentic food. MAYBE it's an all round authentic Italian experience and Italian waiters are no nonsense, to the point, lacking in fake smiles, which is absolutely fine, especially when the pizza tastes so good.

Wonderful Italian restaurant on church street. It feels a little old fashioned but it is so much better because of it. Wonderful, thoughtful staff that engaged the children, all the usual suspects on the menu, all of which tasted great, and it was just a nice comfortable place to eat. We hadn’t been for years but will certainly be back again soon!

Firstly it's the food which is absolutely amazing. Secondly such a good and friendly staff. Everyone just had a smile on throughout the time the customers are in and I felt that's something good to see nowadays. And trust me on this guys, no matter what you're having as your mains please end the meal with their tiramisu. IT IS PERFECT. Just have a spoon of it at first and wait for few seconds for the coffee which comes out at the end. Amazing taste. Delicious food!!!!

I love this place and my family and I go there around once every week, sometimes more. It's that good. Recently we had the most incredible experience when we noticed the bread was not fresh, expecting nothing. It wasn't stale or anything - just not fresh. It was immediately taken away and replaced with fresh bread baked on our request. It is moderately priced but incredibly cheap with TasteCard. My only complaint is the price of soft drinks meaning that I never get them but £2.30 is not uncommon for this type of place, especially with other foods being so cheap. Also behind the bathroom is a storeroom which the door to is often open - slightly strange but overall it's amazing. GO HERE!!!
The place has the real feeling of being in a Mediterranean restaurant, even if the decoration has no sense, the food balances all. Good tastes and good selection of italian dishes. Good Big Portions and really friendly staff, I'll be back soon... In fact, today!
A really great place, if you're a fan of Italian food.
Although the service can be a bit tricky, the food is really delicious. I love their Completa pizza and Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, which are prepared in a different way at every other place, but these are the best in the area. The decor is very stylish and corresponds to the restaurant's food theme. It gives a nice Mediterranean feel and makes the visit even more memorable. Service is not always good. Sometimes they are really polite and welcoming, but other times- quite snobbish.
All in all a great Italian place, that offers quality food at moderate prices.
Food was great but the waiter, who I'm presuming is also the owner went outside to smoke every twenty minutes or so which was not very pleasant as we were right at the window, this is the only reason for dropping a star. Otherwise the food was very enjoyable, highly recommend the ice cream.
Really warm atmosphere, the food was amazing and the complimentary starter was also top notch.
just a note, done fill up too much in the garlic and tomato bread they give you before your meal or you may not finish your food!
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic food and wine makes Il Bacio a great place to have lunch or dinner with partner or friends. If you still have room for dessert, ask for their homemade pannacotta as it is delicious.
Enjoyed a lovely meal here whilst on a first date. They made the evening very special for us both. Great service and the food was incredible for the value. Will be visited again soon.
