Absolutely the best Beef Wellington I have ever eaten. Plus the cocktails are excellent. Highly recommend. Ollie is a VERY good host

Fantastic food, great drinks and impeccable service — what more could we ask for? We’ve been twice in the last few weeks, as it’s such a good experience. The staff are friendly and relaxed, and the farm-to-table concept by the Gladwin Brothers is always a delight. We devoured everything from the starters to the desserts with real gousto, and made many nice new memories. Will be back soon!

Pretty decent British fine dining restaurant in SoHo area. For the starters, great selection on the menu, the scallops were absolutely divine taste. In terms of main course, wife had the fish and I had the sirloin steak with the cheese and crispy potatoes.
Potatoes were cooked beautifully and my steak outcome was different from the normal
Steak place you eat in a restaurant. The fish was freshly made though not something special about it. I was hoping to go for beef Wellington but it was dish for two and hence couldn’t order them.
The ambience of the restaurant were relaxing and my family had great time here enjoying our meal.

We had the Beef Wellington roast to share on a Sunday. The Wellington was amazing and so were all the trimmings - plenty of food for 2 people, we even took some home and a few people around us were doing the same. It can take sometime for the roast to be ready because it is all made fresh so order a starter but don't go crazy because the roasts are big portions.
I had an espresso martini which was also excellent. The staff were really attentive and nice, the atmosphere very cosy.
I am so happy to have found such a refined British restaurant. If someone was visiting London and asked me for a British food to recommend - I would send them to this place.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Sussex. The atmosphere and food were excellent and the staff were lovely. Alex was our waiter and he was attentive, friendly and made our experience even better. My partner is gluten free and although not so many options outside of the mains, we didn’t need it as the beef sharing plate for lunch was plenty and delicious. I have to say the highlight was the gravy though, bloody beautiful! Would highly recommend, Thanks all!

Booked a table for Lunch through the Fork booking app and got 50% of the food part of the bill which is a fantastic offer.
It's a really lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere which is not to loud so you can have a lovely lunch amd enjoy each others company.
The waiter's and waitresses where really friendly and there when you needed them.
The food was fantastic and a must is the crispy potato's especially the cheese truffle ones they are to die for.
A good selection of cocktails and wine which was great and helps make the food go down a treat.
Then the lovely surprise of the bill which for what I had was very reasonable.
All in all a really lovely restaurant and well worth a vist which I am sure I will do next time in London.
Cheers Guy's

I took a friend visiting from overseas to The Sussex and it was absolutely the right choice. This is proper British food and I love that they try and source from the UK and seek to minimise wastage (they roast their potatoes 🥔 in beef fat they have from cooking the beef dishes). Service was just wonderful - our waiter Alex was attentive and made great recommendations. The chef (Freddy) actually came and sit with us to talk us through the concept behind the restaurant and the dishes - you will find out from him why the Mushroom Marmite Eclair has no marmite (a great starter). It’s only my first time there and we were only a party of two, but we were treated like VIPs. The chef even invited us to the Chef Table - unfortunately we had to skip as we needed to go home, but it’s brill to know that they make their own raspberry honey / honey garlic on site! FOODWISE- I love every dish! I know some dinners may feel that the starters are on the smaller side, but I feel the prices are fair for a Soho restaurant. The sea bass starter, with a slightly higher price, has two whole pieces of sea bass in it and a generous helping of samphire, cooked to perfection in a saffron sauce. The smaller starters (around £9) are not meant to be main courses so we ordered a few. I adored the mushroom marmite eclair and the mushroom ravioli which we very much enjoyed. For mains, we had the leg of lamb, with all the trimmings. I love their roast carrot! I like my meat tender, so will ask for slightly under medium rare next time. For desserts - try the other eclair (chocolate eclair). The orange and almond cake was lovely, just a teeny bit too sweet for our Asian palette - I still finished the whole thing though! All in all, a great experience - thank you Freddy, Stevie, Jacob and Alex again! I will be back for the bubble and squeak if my schedule permits :) Cecilia

Good dining experience, but not the best beef wellington. We had rock oysters (£4.5 each) which were pretty decent and fresh. The beef wellington (£84 for 2) was just alright, but we expected something more from the taste as it tasted pretty average. We got it with pecorino & truffle potatoes and honey roasted carrots —which was very good, especially the carrots! The duck liver parfait (£8.5) was just alright.
Staff service was pretty friendly. The atmosphere of the dining area was low lit, homey and cozy. Overall a pretty alright experience, but we expected more taste-wise. Would come back at some point to give it another go for the beef wellingtons!

Came here for a birthday meal, and it did not disappoint!
Disclaimer, we used the 50% off offer from the Fork, which is valid on all food, including the Wellington!
Our server was lovely, she was well-versed with the menu, and attentive without being intrusive.
The blood and sand cocktail I had to start with was lovely, and the red wine (can't remember which) was also nice.
The food was amazing. I had the mushroom marmite éclair to start, as well as the chorizo and yoghurt, then the Wellington (for two to share) for my main. The Wellington was divine, though it is expensive at full price.
Atmosphere is lovely, though it was nowhere near full on a Friday supper time.

Went for girls lunch on a sunny Saturday. Staff were very friendly, professional, excellent service (as they all had very detailed knowledge about the food and cocktails). After long lunch we went to sit outside, had more cocktails and relax in Soho. Inside very clean and bright with relaxed atmosphere. We never felt rushed. Food was delicious and loved the fork offer. Would I come again ? -yes definitely a chilled place for friends catch up.
