The best place in London for bento box lunches (salmon teriyaki, pork katsu, etc)/ Japanese lunch in general with so many other choices on the menu. Delicious food every time. Personal favourite is the salmon teriyaki bento with wakame salad and ebi tempura side.

The specialty is chicken katsu curry, pork katsu curry and salmon teriyaki. For me it is the best chicken katsu curry I have ever eaten. The salmon was also delicious. I usually go often because the price-quality ratio is perfect for being in London. The owner and staff are very friendly. I recommend it

Excellent food. My go-to and favorite dish is the chicken katsu curry (unless they have the pork katsu curry available). Food is always hot and delicious, and it has some nice sitting space both inside and outside. I’ve been going here for the past 4 years or so and have never had a bad experience. Wonderful and friendly staff as well who serve you quickly, which is especially helpful during busy times.

Yum yum yum. Delicious food and no wonder there's a queue right out the door, but don't worry, the wait is not long. Going back tomorrow!

Tenner for the katsudon. Well well worth it. Portion size is great and it was so delicious. Juicy chicken and egg over rice simmered in dashi broth. On the slightly salty side but didn’t stop me clearing bowl out. Good for a hot day anyways. Owner operator run local business which is miles better than anything you’ll get from a lunch chain. Will definitely have to pop back to try other stuff.

At Bento-ya, the Chicken Katsu Teriyaki (£9.99) is an absolute game-changer. With its perfect balance of sweet, savory, and umami flavors, it's a dish that's not to be overlooked. Bento-ya offers other tasty options like the Gyudon Beef (£10.99), Mabo Tofu (£8.99), Katsu Don (£10.49), Pork Katsu Bento (£9.99), and a variety of hearty Japanese curries (£9.99). Though the queue can be long during weekday lunches, rest assured it moves quickly. While some dishes can be inconsistent, the Chicken Katsu Teriyaki remains a must-try that brings joy with every bite. Full review @jagglet on Instagram.

Ah, bento-ya Food so good, from your host with the most Food so good it turns you all poetic. It's a little place, five seats inside, along the right hand wall. Three tables outside. Most of the customers who came In while I was there (and there were a lot!) Ordered to go. Service was quick, and the host was cheery and polite. The food was hot and your choices are bento of varied types, chicken, salmon and pork being some, as well as Japanese curry of the same varieties. Then you have your karaage and your gyoza and your sushi. A cute little Japanese restaurant with a great host and great menu. The place is scrupulously clean and has a bright and cheery feel to it. Be aware it gets very busy at lunch, but you're not waiting too long to be served. I have been here several times to be honest, and I've always come away satisfied. Definitely recommend.
