It was a cozy place to try homemade cakes and a cup of coffee or tea. The decoration is also sweet and full of colors. The staff was really helpful and lovely. We tried different cakes and cookies and all of them were tasty. I recommend this coffee shop to get lost in London.

Seems to be a recurring theme, having read other reviews. Whilst the cake I had was tasty, the staff and their lack of manners or common courteous for customers really put me off. Having ordered two drinks, only one arrived. When we mentioned this, the first thing the waitress did was to curtly say "You need to pay for the second one then" - No apology, no manners. Following on from that, the second drink came, only for it to be the wrong one. Again, had to point this out, and once more, no apology nor any contrition from the waitress. I make a point of being polite and explaining what had gone wrong with the order, if this happens in other places. I was just bowled over by the lack of care that came from the waitress, it did nothing to endear the cafe to me. I would recommend searching for places elsewhere that have better customer service. I would like to say, that despite the 1 star review, that is only reflective of the level of service. The cake itself was very tasty. EDIT - I was spoken to by the manager, who I emailed. They apologised and resolved the issue, so I have amended my original review from 1 to 4 stars.

Five stars for the quality of cake, coffee and service especially because it is a very little shop with low ceilings and loads of people, it is seldom free especially on weekends. If you prefer less sweet cakes, or ones that are sweetened with natural sweeteners, this is not the place for you. However there is a vegan and gluten free chocolate apricot cake, so there are options for certain allergies. The cakes are high and layered, like those of the hummingbird cafe but much much much better and less synthetic tasting. The red velvet cake was filled with delicious blueberry jam but again this cake is on the sweet sweet side, heaven for those with a severely sweet tooth! I can recommend the pistachio cheese cake, with a perfect biscuit crumb. Very good espresso better than standard cafes and also an array of soft drinks available.

Such as cute lovely little café! Really quirky inside! Offered a variety of drinks and cakes (for those with a sweet tooth) The staff were friendly and happy, it was busy and everyone seemed so happy to be in there! Was a lovely atmosphere! On a cold day I would recommend Baby its cold outside as it was really warming & fragrant too - really nice tasting tea!

Delicious!!! I tried my first british scones at Sweatheart. They were awesome! Plus the atmosphere in this little café and a good tea made it a perfect afternoon tea time. Highly recommend to stop by when being in convent garden.

Unfolding the magic! Beautiful place, fresh ingredients, massive portions, reasonable prices and a warm welcome - all these little things we are looking for! So many cupcakes and cakes you'll find it hard to get only one! Sooo good!
