We ordered our daughters birthday cake relatively last minute and they catered for it and produced a fantastic rainbow cake which was absolutely delicious and a huge hit at the party :)
Why are you guys missing out on other religious festive themes.... I mean Xmas ok Xmas cakes ok, but what about Eid, Diwali hannuke. Etc etc etc.....

As always, the Hummingbird bakery was clean, enticing and stocked with the most delicious variety of cakes. The black bottom cupcake at the Hummingbird Bakery is pure indulgence.
Soft, and fluffy chocolate marbled sponge of mostly milk chocolate with a hint of white chocolate. Creamy milk and white chocolate flakes cover the black bottom cupcake and a delicious soft chocolate center hides within.
The red velvet brownie is very moist. It's more cakey, than brownie in consistency.
Hummingbird bakery is one of the best bakeries in london. The red velvet cupcake and rainbow cake are just a treat to all the people who have a sweet tooth. Even the hot chocolate is really nice .
Hummingbird bakery is a really cute spot to get cupcakes or to pick up a slice of cake. They make a variety of deserts, which are all presented really well. Their cakes are colorful and all have icing that looks really lovely. You can sit in to eat your desert, but there isn't much space to sit inside, they just have a small bar table with a few seats. It's definitely more a place to come for take away.
They have a wide variety of cakes and they all look great. I had a really hard time choosing what I wanted to get. In the end we picked the Christmas spice cupcake and the classic vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing. They were both really delicious, I especially recommend trying their classic vanilla cupcake, it is simple but really great.
The cherry on the top of the cupcake scene in London. The majority of us at some point or another has come across one of these cupcakes either as a gift or seeing the beautifully presented moist cakes as someone else scoffs it down. They're great, taste how they look and look how they taste, beautifully moist and beautifully decorated.
If you are into cupcakes however and you have worked your way through the whole hummingbird selection I do recommend heading down to Spitalfields market on a weekend, there are stalls there that love being experimental with cupcake ingredients.

The Hummingbird Bakery is known for it's best selling cakes and cupcakes. They are all very intricately crafted and designed, making it a great place to visit, even if it's just to look at all their options! Once you walk in, you're hit by the smell of fresh cakes. At this point, it's really too hard to resist digging into their lovely treats. The staff is always friendly and helpful - and always willing to suggest their favourites!
Friendly service, love looking at all the beautifully made cakes. They not only look amazing but also taste amazing - especially the carrot cake and the red velvet cake.
Whenever I'm going round to a friends place I pop into the bakery and take a box of cupcakes or a cheesecake - you know your friends will be impressed.
The brownies are also very sumptious - naughty but nice.
Cake lovers will be in heaven when they visit Hummingbird. Every cake is delicious. Try the mile high salted caramel (share with a friend, the slices are huge) signature red velvet in either sliced gateaux form or cupcake. The rainbow Cake is visually stunning if you want something for an occasion. You can order a cake in advance for a special occasion via their website or phoning the central line. Cheesecake or brownie, can't decide, they have made a cheesecake brownie! Hot drinks available too!
This places cakes are to die for. Have to get my mum one every opportunity I can find. The service is second to none. The cake selections on display are always works of art. Buy cakes cupcakes or even a slice, and the slice is quiet fat. Definitely go for the carrot cake and rainbow. See you soon guys.
Never had a bad experience here. Vegan cupcakes particularly delicious and often cheaper than regular cupcakes. Pumpkin whoopie is amazing during autumn months. Would recommend. Ok pricing. Pictured is chocolate vegan and vegan red velvet.
I had a lovely carrot cupcake and chai latte. The cupcake was moist with the perfect amount of spice and a frosting that complemented it perfectly. Nice chai latte, but they're quite hard to mess up.
Staff were polite and friendly, but at times were a little bit loud for someone who gets sensory overload easily, and to be honest, anyone. They were obviously excited about something because a couple of times, they were shouting in the kitchen out onto the shop floor, as well as whilst on the shop floor itself. I definitely don't mind people having fun on the job, but maybe just take it down a few decibels?!
It's also a shame that there are just 4 stools in a small area to perch on. A place with such lovely cakes warrants more space to come and sit down with friends whilst you treat yourselves. Also, anyone in a wheelchair or with mobility needs isn't exactly catered for here, if they want to stop inside and eat. It would be quite a squeeze for them to not feel "in the way".
The best vegan birthday cake you could ask for. Soft, tasty and it was a hit with all our friends. The staff at the Islington branch was friendly and the cake ready to be collected. Love Wins
I popped into my local Hummingbird bakery store for the first time in a while and it's like I never took a cake sabbatical. There's always amazing variety of delicious fresh cakes.. and though the taste of the cakes are unbeatable the real stars of this store are the staff!! They are perfect; super friendly, helpful and make the best suggestions. The ladies I was served by today are the reason I pop into this store so often. Thank you so much ladies, I truly value your amazing service. PS: If you've never tried the Kentucky Bundt cake you are seriously missing out.
Worth every penny -- these gorgeous, professional, creative and DELICIOUS cupcakes are the best I've tasted in London. Ideal for a tasty snack, with a cup of tea or buy 4 of them for a cheap and cheerful dinner party gift! I tried their bacon/maple/caramel cupcake and was floored at how delicious it was. Not much sit-in space at this location, so plan for a take-away.
I wanted to order a cake and get it delivered last minute and they were able to get it done and delivered promptly for me! The customer Service communication was also very prompt and friendly. They are simply amazing. The cake also tasted amazing, I would definitely patronize them again.
Big thank you to the Islington staff who noticed I was pregnant and talked me through how the lemon meringue is made on the cupcake I was eyeing up. They were really knowledgeable about the ingredients and cooking process (red lion stamped egg white mixed with hot syrup but not baked through) and this allowed me to make an informed decision anout whether I was happy to eat it or not. I did. It was delicious. Thank you for taking the time and initiative :-)
Lovely staff and service, cute decor inside. Cakes are a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a once in a blue moon treat. Personal favourite is the Biscoff. Not much space to sit, more of a get and go branch
