Without doubt the best Indian food around, perfectly spiced and flavoured. The new menu is short, with old "English" classics absent and all the better for it. Every dish I have tried so far has been absolutely outstanding. I had heard there was a new chief behind the revised menu and he certainly knows his stuff. Book a table before you can't.
Been living in the area for almost a year now and from what I can tell we are very lucky to have two very good Indian restaurants in the area. My personal favourite is Chadni (sp?!) near west dulwich station but my boyfriend likes this one so we try and alternate. The food is good, service great. I am a sucker for chicken tikka masala and I find it is better at the other place but it comes down to personal taste because even though they have the same food category they couldn't be more different. I encourage you to try both and make up your own mind but you won't be disappointed either way.
Good sized restaurant with good furniture, good music, good aesthetics, good service, good food and reasonable prices, £15 per head if you don't drink alcohol. We had Poppadums, Lamb Biryani and Matar Paneer. Would visit again.
