I really love this pub, my favourite hangout around the area.
Very tasty food, and lovely staff!! I always have a great time here! Please keep the Sticky toffee pudding!! Missing Caterina and will be missing Erina big time!!
So chilled and relaxed, and the chicken bacon leek pie is second to none! Lovely place, and deserves all its praise.
Outstanding food in their dining room. Cosy but with excellent cooking. French onion soup is maybe the best I’ve had.

Had a really well cooked delicious Sunday roast beef here today, I may never have a Sunday roast beef anywhere else again! Perfectly pink without being bloody and vibrant veg, I never had a baked carrot cooked as good!! Skipped desert for an espresso martini, what an absolute treat!! Can’t recommend enough and a huge thank you to the attentive and friendly waiting staff!!
Decent enough pub with a nice range of drinks and food. When we got there we unfortunately timed it badly as the staff were busily engaged in deep conversation about a very important topic...... sorry to interrupt. After an hour or so two other staff arrived and they were excellent. Part if a small chain. Worth a quick visit
While the music was a bit too noisy for me on a Friday night, it's a fun hip place with good food and beer. Perfect for the younger crowd with better hearing!
My partner and I just had a delicious meal at The Chamberlayne. We met there 7 years ago and today was our anniversary. The staff were lovely and very attentive to detail, incl. a complimentary glass of Prosecco, which was a really nice gesture. We love this place and glad it is back.
This place has a very nice vibe and I enjoy going there.
The food was just ok at my last visit. My friend and I shared 6 different starters. The parmesan croquettes tasted quite bland, they didn't have a distinctive parmesan taste. The bufala was quite nice, both in terms of flavour and how it was plated.
I mean, it was alright but can be better. I think the menu lacks of vegetarian options.

Stopped by with Guy , and had a legendary beef carpaccio, and a great crab . Guy’s sirloin steak was good, delicious sauce , proper chips . Service , perfect . Atmosphere happy . Highly recommend this as a local , or a treat . We will be back . 🍷

I’d say the food is slightly too expensive BUT the beef sunday roast was amazing and a properly good pint of Guinness.
Solid food, quality drinks but the bills just a bit too high.
Partner and I were regulars when it was The Rise and went for dinner at The Chamberlayne for its opening night. Food was fantastic - highly recommend the Poussin(chicken), lemon & tarragon sauce.
Our waitress was lovely and very helpful! Especially given that she seemed to be the only waitress for both the restaurant and the pub.
Great atmosphere and looking forward to going again in the near future.
