Really adorable local place, food is definitely punching above its weight, however unlike most restaurants in London aiming at this standard of food the portions are very generous, and the prices extremely reasonable. Some dishes were standout- tuna and toast was so so tasty and interesting, and some were better than average but perhaps missing the mark slightly if compared with top foodie establishments in london- but for the price you pay it is more than worth it. A really lovely restaurant with a big heart (something rare in this city I find), really warm and professional service that is really welcoming and approachable for the high standard of food being served. Dining here kind of renewed my faith in hospitality, because it's a place definitely focused on customer experience rather than milking every possible penny from its patrons. Shout out to whoever the waiter was on Saturday 30th July as he was working the floor by himself and did not miss a single thing- such a lovely person who gave the kind of service that makes you feel at home and like you're the only table in the restaurant, whilst also being on the front foot about recommending the top items of the menu with a solid knowledge about the dishes and ingredients. Such a star, almost wanted to ask him if he wanted to hang out with us later because he was a literal gem of a human. Props to hiring amazing staff 👊
