OMG so annoying, but first I should say that I do go to Pod quite a bit, their baguettes are really nice, and their coffee is pretty good as well, better than the other big high street brands.
BUT this is not why Im writing a review and if it was just for the above you would be higher.
Today I had a craving for a bacon sandwich, with Pod being opposite my office where better to go and get one.
POD COME ON, either your are making a shed load of money and don't care or the staff just have no empowerment. BREAKFAST served until 11am, ok i get this you need to define some times, I enter Pod at 11.01, get a SMS and ready to order seriously by 11.02 and im told breakfast is no longer available, at a 11.02 are you serious, this has to be a joke. I felt the rage from the Michael Douglas movie Falling Down where he was refused the breakfast 1 min after, don't worry I wont be coming back to hold you up. I will be back for Coffee and a sandwich but it would be great is some flexibility and empowerment could be provided to staff.
RANT over, and still a customer.
After a long day at work, I was knackered and hungry and needed a place to eat and relax. Luckily for me, I was in the company of a good friend with whom I share a love for Korean movies. She suggested we go to this fancy restaurant. The attendants were friendly and quite effective in the way they render their services.
We ordered Thai red chicken curry and Thai green chicken curry. Although it was my first time trying any food of this sort, I really enjoyed it. The meal composed of brown rice, spicy chicken curry and plenty of fresh green pea and beans. It was both healthy and delicious.
The ambiance was nice and relaxing. I enjoyed eating here.
Had healthy food for sure. The taste was okay. Although I wouldn't really want the Thai green chicken curry.. I would pick a different meal next time as the green curry' taste didn't seem as good as what my friend was having (the red curry. Although more spicy. It didn't seem TOO spicy).
It's located not too far from Tower Hill station.
Price for the small portion (which I had): £3.99
It was past 3pm, and thus not that crowded. Looking at the decoration I could see the colour green was used a lot.
The service was fine, but we were told they only had green and red curry left. Although that was exactly what we planned to have so that was fine.
