Dinner, great selection of dishes. As described a pan-Asian theme. Sadly they were out of lobster and toffee banana during our visit. But all round tasty meal that is well priced.
We had dinner here yesterday and it was very good. This establishment is so different from the other restaurants in that it is more fashionable and they have an extensive bar serving designer cocktails. The entire establishment has a lovely 'vibe' about it.. The food was very good and i would recommend the duck wrap and noodles.
The quality right here. I's say the food here is simply tasty, regardless of ethnicity.
If not for the sheer size, it would make a really nice dive bar, so lets say it's a dive restaurant. There are a few varieties of beer, some in cans! House beer goes down well with the crispy duck and I would say the crispy duck is done the old fashioned way, in one of those ovens that seal the natural flavors in. The do it yourself set was tasty and my partner's lobster was reportedly very good. A nice visit to a simply lovely place.
A good selection of cocktails, albeit a little esoteric, nevertheless refreshing and unique in flavor. There are a great number of fusion restaurants today and they all seem to do a version of the original. I found the crispy duck set to be most satisfying and a rival to the same found in other restaurants of the same variety, which i feel is correct as a fusion should do a variety of authentic dishes and they do it very well here.
Went for cocktail on a Friday night. Great atmosphere for evening drinks or a meal. Fantastic cocktail classics with a Japanese twist.
Cool joint. Eclectic menu with a mix of south east asian dishes. Dry and strong beer on tap. Crispy duck is a dish all of us have enjoyed at some time or another but over here it's the whole enchilada, you get to make it yourself. Service lags a little but food is good and it's a nice place you want to take in.

We had dinner here today. It was a truly unique experience. For starters we had the quarter duck, which was done correctly, with the duck breast freshly roasted and the pancakes and condiments on the side. For my mains the Pad Thai Yaki was very good, the dish was not overcooked and the vegetables still crunchy. We were recommended the le pionnier blanc to go with our meals which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The whole restaurant had this urban japanese feel about it. It looks like Tamashii is going to be our pre theatre place from now on in Kings Cross.
A excellent dining experience. This place is a true gem. The bar had cocktails , liqours and beer from japan and not the regular stuff the other places bring in. The whisky sour was great - unpronounceable japanese brand but good anyway. Chicken ramen was very decent as was the duck wrap.
It's a really amazing place. The decor defies modern convention and the bar produces some really noteworthy cocktails, all based on japanese liqours, a really unique concept. The selection of food varies greatly but I found it a welcome change from being restricted to one cuisine only. The five of us just wanted a place to chill and grab some bites and Tamashii does all that, and much more. I found the beef hot pot, which is actually of chinese origin, totally delectable and I will return to sample the rest of the menu as it is that good.
Wow. This is a great place to chill. The juku bar does the kind of cocktails you don't get in London. Food is awesome and the pan asian selection is really good. The duck wrap is fresh and you get to do it yourself with all the sauces, veggies and condiments at your disposal. Great atmosphere too.
