While Saigon Foods cafe has a ‘bring your own booze’ policy (as they’re not licensed to serve alcohol) that keeps costs down, we chose to ‘take-away’ the other evening after work, and relax at home. Summer rolls – rice paper wraps two rolls @ £4.00. Bo la lot – grilled beef in leaves with rice noodles and salad @ £7.85.
The verdict: Cheap, cheerful and healthy. And something a bit different for Catford.
We eat a lot of Vietnamese food and Saigon Foods is one of the best in south east london! The Vietnamese iced coffee and the Hue is fantastic, wonderful service from friendly staff and so reasonably priced! Very comfortable to sit in for a casual meal too. We will definitely be regulars!
Lovely little place, the summer rolls and Pho and iced coffee all lovely. Freshly made, good value food.

It was a pleasure talking to the chef,and knowing he puts his heart into his work as ,one of the owners,whose philosophy is to make everything from scratch....The vegetables where extremely fresh...The only main constructive comment was resolved,on the day,initially I saw practically most of the vegan food had torfu...result you can always ask for it without...looking forward to choosing ,one of the soup based dishes....more than likely the spicy one

Made by someone,with true passion,of serving only the best...made from scratch.down to the homemade noodles,not frozen...A true perfectionist,listens to his critics,can only get better.i requested for extra spicy.this was not too overpowering,but just right, neither where the noodles drowning in sauce,but kissed with enough sauce to appreciate,the fresh vegetables,and herbs....looking forward to the eight hour broth.,prepared for vegans.
Thank you. Chef...out of all the places I have visited ,your only the second person I wish to call a master chef,..someone with real passion in what he serves...you won't. Be disappointed

I had the eight hour noodles dish,served with flat noodles.The vegetables / garnish was extremely fresh,.parsley,red onions,extra red pepper to served on the side.most important of all served at the right temperature,nice and more than adequate for a cold day,fully contented.
My first time back here since covid lockdown and got to say it hasn't changed. Food is still good tasting as every. I love their Classic beef pho esp the broth. The portion is good sized. Price is good for what you get. The staff are friendly and professional. I will definitely come back here again when I'm around and in the mood for good old Vietnamese comfort street food. Keep up the good work guys.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!!! This place is it! They are amazing. So clean and tasty, I am never letting go. I loved every aspect of this place and highly recommend it. I even took my leftover asa takeaway and can’t wait to ho back.

Don’t listen to haters! Especially the ones saying ‘worst Vietnamese they have ever had’… no idea where these people have been dining before.
Vietnamese is my most favourite cuisine and I have had lots in my time around London and abroad.
We had prawn summer rolls and beef classic Pho. All absolutely delicious, great portions. BEST peanut sauce I have ever had (husband said the same) it tastes fresh and not processed like in other places. Pho has nice deep flavoursome taste. Noodles cooked to perfection and drained so don’t stain the broth.
My only negative comment is that beef was a little bit rubbery (some places give it raw and it cooks in your bowl and I personally prefer that)

Great Vietnamese food! Went today and was served by a very friendly and efficient lady. Had very delicious and fresh Banh Mi, complemented by a delicious Vietnamese coffee. Parsley Recommends.
I order delivery from here twice a month at least and they never disappoint! Vegan options are absolutely amazing and full of flavour and great sizes too. It would be nice if they had a nutritional information menu on their website too but not many places do so I'm not too bothered :)
We love our simple decor but delicious food Saigon food place. Friendly staff delicious food vegetarian tofu dishes too. The also offer takeaway options.
